They were gonna make me a Major for this, and I wasn't even in their f**ckin' army anymore.
I mean basic reason for everyone milking IPs is because it is profitable. You have a dedicated fanbase which loves the characters, gameplay etc. Look at COD, God of War, Halo, Assassin's Creed etc. Every fan buys each entry in those. Capcom, like some absolute retard, out of the blue decided that the franchise needed a reboot. If they would have released DMC 5 with proper combat system and same characters following story, it would have sold 2-3 times more. Almost 90% of the fans would have bought the game. Now only like 5% of original fans bought it. Whoever makes these decisions at Capcom must be highly stupid. They have almost killed Resident Evil as well.
Japanese weekly Wii U hardware sales have fallen below PlayStation Vita's for the first time.
Wii U sold 9633 units in Japan last week, according to number-cruncher Media Create (viaNeoGAF). Vita sold 11,456 units - the handheld's highest weekly tally for some time. The bump is probably due to some stores acting early on the recently announced Japanese price drop.
That discount isn't supposed to go into effect until tomorrow, so expect Vita numbers to be higher again next week.
By comparison, PlayStation 3 sold nearly double - 18,529 - what Wii U managed. And as in other weeks, 3DS was miles ahead of everything with 74,729 sales.
Hey c'mon! leaving the X360 japi sales is a little unfair ![]()

Holy sh*t @ the WiiU bomba. That thing is dead in the water.
Edit @ Pbp. I think it did pretty well. At launch it had like 20k concurrent players on Steam, which is not bad for a game thats not even Steamworks. It was higher than stuff like Darksiders, AW etc.
Plus the fact that DS2 is a simultaneous release on PC and consoles means it must have done well enough to convince them to make a PC version again. Hopefully with more effort.

Entertainment Chart
MCV reports that the ERA chart – compiled from Chart-Track and Official
Charts Company analysis – underlined a weaker year for games compared to
previous charts. Black Ops 2 and FIFA 13 placed first and second
respectively, but the next game to feature was Assassin’s Creed 3 at
13th.
Here is the chart in full, along with sales figures in units sold:
Edited by cat, 12 March 2013 - 06:31 PM.

God of War: Ascension, a single platform game, has to make do with a
debut chart position at No. 2, failing to reach the heights of No. 1
during its first week on sale as God of War III was able to do in 2010.
To add insult to injury, Chart Track says that God of War III’s launch
week sales were more than double those of God of War: Ascension…
StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm is another debut title and another
single platform release, which manages to appear at No. 3 on debut.
Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, meanwhile, is out on multiple platforms and
hits No. 4 during its first week on shelves ahead of last week’s No. 2,
SimCity (sales down 50%), which this week shows up at No. 5.
FIFA 13 (sales down 14%) steps down only one place to No.6, Far Cry 3
(sales down 3%) moves up by one to No. 7, Crysis 3 (sales down 42%)
slips two places to No. 8, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (sales down 14%)
makes a similar move to No. 9, and The Sims 3: University Life (sales
down 57%) tumbles from No. 4 last week to No. 10

Very nice to see SP game selling well.
Not bad. Both GoW games underperformed though. I think MS and Sony would have expected more.

Anybody know how many Xbox 360s have been sold in India? In a 2012 IVG interview with Sony Computer Entertainment India's head, he claimed PS3 has sold 170,000 untis so far (June 2012). I'm guessing that's 2 lakh PS3s by now. How about Xbox 360 sales figures?

Gears' decline was expected with this moving to PCF, but this is huge.
