I actually sold this game out of frustration....everyone used to kick me from the match just cause I had low connectivity bars, but who could let them know that the bars in Tekken 6 are quite deceptive & so even 2 bar connection can sometime work like 4 bar cause its 4 bar in reality & sometime even 5 bar will lag like a bitch.

That said I loved this game [HUGE Tekken fan] but I simply saw no other way cause it was a case of " Desperately want to play but can't f**kin play cause no one to play" situation....anyways once SSF4 is released it'll help me forget about Tekken 6.

Just another couple of points

- Game lobbies with more than 2 players has RARELY worked. Which is why you guys have been getting errors on trying to join someones room. Its better not to have more than 2 people in the same room at a time.

- A good option is to host and turn off the chat in PSN. Just to save the bandwidth. Its better to start a chat room instead.

- About online ranks, its actually very important. I understand though that it could be a bit useless to try it out on the kind of broadband we have in our country. Online rank system in Tekken is actually pretty good. its more like a 'skill level' rather than the xp level.

@invictus. Online rankings for tekken 6 are actually a hit or miss affair. For an instance take a look at Bullrage, Myk, Rip. they all have a considerable amount of losses on their PSN records compared to their T6BR IC records. Point is, in the arcade there is solid ground for full implementation of every single strategy to the game. but on PSN its a hit or miss affair. Imagine knowing a whiff is comming, you position urself with a punisher just to findout there was a slight lag and you miss your own punisher just to eat another 10 frame launcher. From that point on say goodbye to at least 80% of your HP. I have seen players making a comeback while their health was on rage against opponents holding out full health.(of course Rage helped).

I did not nail even a single EWGF against anyone from the forums even once. Kazuya is too hard to use on a lag network.

You must be a total pro invictus. i wuld love to download you ghost.
And if possible i would love to play with you offline if luck ever allows.

PS: Do you have T6BR IC?

aha..arcades! See the point is that online and arcade play can not be compared. gameplay changes a lot. Its easier to spot sweeps in the arcades, online its close to impossible etc..


If the online for you is consistently laggy, doesnt really mean thats how its for the rest of the world. I used to play virtually lag free games against my friends in US/UK while I was in UK. This of course was after the first patch. T6 online performance really improved after that patch. but truth be said, it still is a bandwidth wh*re. So I understand that it would be a pain to play online for you guys. (Which is why I asked about the pings in one of my earlier posts). If everything worked fine, online play was indeed very important because you tend to play against people with proper levels (trust me, things get crazy after marauder). Playing locally keeps your action set limited. Though arcade is the most fun

I am currently in singapore and there are bijillion arcades here with t6 in it(and quite cheap). The only problem so far is that I dont know anyone here and most of the players keep to themselves while playing.

Not sure where, but do you mean that you found t6 arcade cabinets in India somewhere? If so, pleae let me know as well.

PS: I have played Lei all my life and know no other character. I would pick up some top tier one(Kaz or lilly?) if we really get these games going

EDIT- Oh btw I dont have a T6 IC (I dont see a point to have one :S ) Already have the game for both xbox n ps3

@ Invitus. I did not find any arcades running t6 here. i am mostly involved in the scene in japan. however, its difficult chaning mentality from arcade to console. in the arcade im BCD'in and SSC'in all the time. here when i play with friends it doesnot really matter. in fact i get accused of glitching when they see me BCD'in. o_O.

and if we ever meet, we have to play. we need to play. its important. heh heh. i love meeting new pros and learning a thing or two from them.
BTW, get a T6 IC, its fun. My current rank is Destroyer on th IC, but believe me im not even gonna try on PSN to level up. its just for fun there.
Is the x360 lag any better than ps3? and do you have all the rage items on the console? also lets please exchange ghosts and replays for the ps3. would love to add your ghost to my collection.

Hurrm I think you mean BDC (backdash cancel)? Anyways, I usually do the Lei's BT dashing thing. Its faster and has more whiff chances. Still not very good at it.

regarding the IC I am bit new to the arcade scene here so never bothered to get it. I am kind of not interested in it yet......but let me find out more about it


Oh and how do you exchange ghosts and replays? I thought that the only way to do that was to be inthe leaderboards and donload it from there aye?


I found xbl games to hold up better than psn. Faster searching. but PSN oppponent difficulty was just crazy. wayyyy better players out there.

I never bothered with items n stuff. Didnt bother with the single player either. Pwning nubs online from day one

SSC = SideStep Cancelling.

I belive Lie's BDC has a +2 frame advantage on T6. that kinda makes that bugger a hard one to track. especilly in a few of his stances, his low looks almost like a mid and manages to confuse opponents. My main is steve/kazuya. but im not perfect with kazuya and you can get waaay more whiffs from him.

Also to upload your ghost/replay, go to Upload Data on your online menu of T6. there you can pick what u wanna upload. i have my offline matches and mayb one online match uploaded. compare the two and have a good time Lol'in at my whiffs in the online match.

ahha Sidestep.....another one I need to master. usually I keep mixing up Lei's stances and ground game so much that I end up not doing those at all. side stepping into snake etc is a very effective Lei attack.


Steve/Kazuya...hmm both low frame bitches

sometimes I feel that I am the ONLY Lei player left out there. even here in arcades, most of the people use Lilly, Kaz. sometime Bob/Steve/Bryan....(same online)

So I have come to really hate these players. Even in extremely laggy games, just abusing a couple of moves from these players can get you through. some moves are just plain crazy low frames some with frame advantage on block. Its just wrong :-/ while lei players like me just dance around in their stupid stances like idiots...hmpph! Nothings fair in this world

i know what you're talking about. i have come across a few scrubs who think they are the best just because i cant parry their low sweeps and punish them with a full launcher/juggle thanks to the lag. Lol, heck they even trash talk after they win. LMAO, like i even care on PSN if i win or loose. but there are good players too. i enjoy playing with aashish2 and krizalid. no matter wat the lag, they never abused any move. they play a balanced game.

Pls do add me on psn and also upload your ghost/replays. And if possible add me on google talk too. and lets play online of of these days, just for the heck of it

I won the first three matches back to back very very very close wins

then dunno what happened to him .. .. and ..he totally owned me in the next three matches which he won back to back he is a pro.. at this time he was playing fierce battles and he didn't give me any chance totally superb fights .. saala pata nahi kya kya mar raha tha...

then something happened to me and i won the next 5 matches back to back after that i lost one match and won another match... matches over

the fights were intense almost all matches were pretty close matches... he is definitely a champ of tekken 6 ... if u are playing him don't take him easy else he will beat the hell out of you.

Thats when i started spawning on the left, which is where I can connect most of my moves. The only problem i was facing was not able to parry your lows (which is what was half of the game winner) The low sweep somersault and high, low, mid triple kick were predictable at a lot of points, which is when I should parry the low. but I gotta learn to deal with it the other way.
You had some good oki game, I mostly suck at it.

I havent played enough against law. I would very much like to play again. These were some v good games. Lots to learn

Sorry xeon. My net kinda actually sucks. If we had played a little later after 11:30 pm my net speed would have improved. My isp caps my speed to 128 kbps max till 11 pm. Its only after that speed goes up to 3 mbps. Even then there is still some lag at some point.
