Getting 4 mbps isnt gonna kill the lag .... The latency will always remain the same , its the not the amount of data that is the problem but how fast it reaches ..... We will always lag with US/EU ppl...

And you can definitely do Ryu trials on DS3 , FADCing takes a little time to get used ....

The other day AV was talking about random ultras and even i agree now that they leave u open for attacks...

So was wondering if i could find a video that teaches how to focus cancel a shoryuken and then hit the metsu but i can't find a single one that shows it on a controller !

Stuck on the trials just because i don't understand how to cancel moves !

Also what is the difference between focus cancel & dash cancel ?

Or are they one and the same thing ?

for the umpteenth time the controller is not important, at your level not much anyways. Man I am getting bored of saying this.
You can easily do SRK (short for Shoryuken) FADC (short for Focus Attack Dash Cancel) ultra on DS3.

for FADC, do SRK motion and then when the move connects at that exact moment press MP and MK together, now without leaving MP and MK press forwards twice or backwards twice this will FADC the SRK. First get the timing down with 100% accuracy. Then start doing the Ultra after that.

I think the problem is that mostly you would be doing Heavy Punch SRK FADC ultra, in 2012 Heavy Punch SRK can not be focus cancelled, yeah it is err strange. Try doing it with medium or low SRKs

there are tons of videos search for "FADC on DS3" here is one though it is for Guile, you can see the FADC part.

you cancel a move when you use the move active-ending animations to start another move, like Ryu's cr MK (short for crouching Medium Kick) to Hadouken. basically if cr Mk hits then the hadouken will as well.

In SSF4:AE 2012, i do not think anything except a taunt can be dash cancelled, for all other things safely assume that dash cancel means FADC, especially for Ryu anyways.

Edit: also be proud of the fact that you could get the cr MP cr MP sweep trial, I still cannot get that timing right even 50%

Then i will not keep the AE disc man...how could capcom do that.. Weren't the RYU lovers furious when this happened ?

I mean at least a good 50% chance of RYU connecting his metsu hadoken ultra went away with them removing the dash cancel

On second thoughts , i'll keep the AE disc since i went through a lot of hassle for finding the copy and paid 2300/- bucks for it !!

Please help me with one more thing... I need to be really good with 3-4 players... What r the OTHER PLAYERS than RYU & SAGAT that i should start practising with ?

analog is tougher than dpad & only good for grapplers, dpad is more precise

Hey can somebody confirm if the FADC's have been removed for all characters in the AE..And if they still remain in the older disc i.e the NORMAL VERSION OF SSFIV

Dude you need to understand the difference between Dash Cancel ... and Focus Dash cancel ....

Focus Dash Cancel is .. Cancelling a move into Focus Attack(MP+MK , Takes 2 bars of supermeter) and then Cancelling that into a Dash

Dash cancel is just cancelling into a dash .... There are few moves that have this like Abel step kick,taunts...

I really suggest you have a look at VesperArcade's SSF4 tutorials.Its easily the best tutorial out there.They cover EVERYTHING, right from what kind of grip you should use, to advance input techniques/option selects etc.

did I not clearly say that Dash cancel is different than FADC

On the Analog verses D-Pad, the D-pad is far superior and precise, start on the pad itself, you will get used to it, it takes time though so do not give up early.

Captivate is an invite only event held by Capcom every year, but details aren't revealed until the following week when the press embargo is lifted. They've made countless announcements about future titles and additions over the years at these gatherings.

This year's event was important enough that Capcom's Yoshinori Ono attended despite recently falling ill, even though Ono wanted a longer rest period, the company didn't grant that request.
