The sequel to 2010’s surprise hit Darksiders, Darksiders II is an open-world, action adventure game with strong Role Playing Elements. It tells the
tale of Death, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and brother to War, the protagonist from the first game wrongfully accused of
bringing on a pre-mature apocalypse resulting in the sudden and swift demise of mankind. The game takes place during the same timeline as the
first game where Death strives to find proof of his brother’s innocence.

- Vast open world to explore
- 25+ hours of gameplay
- Robust fast paced combat system
- Deep skill trees
- Thousands of items to customize Death with
- Item trading - trade rare loot items with members of the community
- Game+ mode that enables players to start a new game with all their existing loot/abilities
- Brutal survival mode called The Crucible that throws 100 waves of enemies at players. Are you man enough to handle it?

Like its predecessor, Darksiders II will play out from a third person perspective offering players a very robust combat system similar to the one seen
in games like Devil May Cry or God of War. You can get up close and personal with your enemies using a plethora of melee weapons or indulge in
the dark arts to decimate your opponents. Besides combat, a large part of the game will be spent exploring the vast world that’s been intricately
designed by Vigil Games. You can visit the game’s many hubs, undertake side quests from NPCs (none playable characters) and level Death up so
he kicks even more butt. Vigil Games have also introduced a new loot system that rewards players with new weapons and pieces of armour that
will improve Death’s damage dealing abilities and of course, make him look cooler.

Like his fellow Horsemen, Death is of a race known as Nephilim – among the most powerful beings in the
Universe. When Mankind was given the prize of Eden, Absalom – leader of the Nephilim – led his armies
against Heaven and Hell in an attempt to steal it back. For this crime, the Charred Council condemned the
Nephilim to destruction. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse were granted a reprieve from this fate on
the condition they aid the Council’s victory over their kin. The Horsemen accepted, but it was Death who
bore the greatest burden of guilt for the near extinction of his race. Donning his iconic mask to represent
his role as executioner on the day he slaughtered his brethren, he has not removed it since.

Despair is Death’s loyal steed. Unlike Ruin in the original Darksiders, players will have access to their mount
near the game’s beginning. This allows them to use Despair’s combat abilities in any open spaces, and to
travel faster between points in the overworld areas.

A bird of unknown origins, neither living nor dead, Dust is Death’s trusty sidekick. Dust will aid Death as he
navigates the treacherous dungeons and explores the expansive overworld of Darksiders II.
