I still cant beat medium difficuty AI Im practicing against computer in non rankes since i am getting my a*s kicked even in the practice league lol. This game has a really steep learning curve for people new to SC2 let alone people new to RTS games like me. Tyler Posted August 19, 2010 Author Report Share Posted August 19, 2010 AI is very predictable man. It always uses the same patterns. Once you have it figured out it's very easy to beat it. AI player will always attack from the entry points of the base. Playing with human opponents is a whole new ballgame though. And getting your a*s kicked is no big deal, that's how you'll learn the game and try to learn new ways of countering your opponents' strategies. You'll realize most players use similar tricks. Stick to one race and try to master it. Keep playing in the Practice League until you feel comfortable. Always have a basic strategy in mind at the beginning of the game (depending upon what you opponent's race is). And make sure you keep scouting every few minutes to see what your opponent is upto. The worst thing in the game (and the reason for most losses) is getting caught with your pants down i.e. having no units or defenses to counter your enemies attacks. So make sure you know what your enemy is building. Once you've got these basics covered then you can try mastering some advanced strategies. I'm usually online after 10:30 PM. Lets co-op sometime. I am really enjoying this game even though i have never played RTS before and i am in silver league and get my a*s kicked all the time. I have all the install files required. And when I try the Blizzard downloaded and keep the files in the same folder, it still starts from scratch.
