Try to get a pre-dated warranty from a HP dealer. Usually they aren't hard to find

If you can't find a dealer who is agreeing on a predated warranty, get a new warranty cover and take your lappy to the service centre after a couple of days.

Yearly warranty shouldn't cost you more than 5.5k. My friend got his HP's motherboard changed in the same manner. His was OOW as well as OOR. :P

Edit: Normally when quoting a post, the date & time appear. Now it's replaced by a timestamp. WTF !! :ranting:

i had this problem from a while but that time the port was working after sticking the charger socket with tape in a certain position and i had warranty that time

the hp people told me then it dose not come under warranty as the port has been damaged because the outer yellow layer of the charger has melt in the port'

so i cant shell out paying them 10k for the port

and im scared to give it a local computer repair guy because once i had given my computer to this guy for repair and he replaced all the parts with bad quality parts

so guys please help :helpsmilie: :helpsmilie: :helpsmilie: :helpsmilie: :helpsmilie:

NEVER will i ever buy HP products again .... 6000 series has default issues with the motherboard and display card .... card will overheat and melt within the board .... useless for now at least for me .....
