I want to connect the video only thru HDMI to my TV. and the sound directly to the spakers. How Do i setup with the optical cables ? My speaker dont have a optical port option. Do u have an AV HT Amplifier? or ur 5.1 speakers connect to the DVD player directly? If its just the DVD player.. then u will need to get an Amp that decodes DTS, DD 5.1, etc connect the speakers to the Amp.. and stream the audio from ur soruce through optical cable or HDMI to the amp BTW wht r u trying to connect? xbox or a ps3? playing games n movies on HD with surround is soo fun Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Same here i am facing isues in connecting my 5.1 with my PS3..as my sys does not support Optical audio in and Tv audio is way 2 low for games......
