actually, i know one guy in person, a big big (in every sense of the word) bolton fan. Played football with him. bugger wud feel at home in the bolton school of defending (thankfully i was in his team so escaped the crunching tackles). used to swear by jay jay- so good they named him twice

League Rules and Information

1] A player will be having 4 games with each opponent

2] Half Time length will be 6 minutes

3] No created players are allowed

4] The league is only for registered IVG members

5] International teams are not allowed in this league

6] The people interested in playing in this league may reply in this thread with their PSN ID before the 5th of January.

7] There is no limit on the number of games a participant may play in a day.

8] Participants will be invited to the league on the 4th of January.

9] Participants can only choose a team whose rating is not higher than 3.5 stars

10] All participants are expected to finish their quota of matches.

hey avi i have a suggestion for this league...instead of having a cap of 3.5 star teams we can have a system where players have no restrictions to take the team of their choice but the difference would be that the scoring would be dynamic..

say for instance i take a 4 star team and beat a 5 star team then normally i would get 3 points for a win but here u can modify the scoring like for every half star reduced u get 0.25 points more or say even 0.5 points more...so if its 0.25 points i would end up with 3.5 points for a win

the reason i am suggesting this is u came up with a cap because u dint want matches to become monotonous by people repeatedly taking the same top european teams..but here also i guess the same thing would happen...the only difference would be that instead of 5 star teams it would be 3.5 star teams...

i guess this scoring system would make matches far more interesting and introduce a new dimension...

what do u think guys??

That will make the league a very confusing one and I don't want that. The format and team cap has been decided and there won't be any more alterations.

Soo true. People will end up choosing Corinthians, USA, Boca Juniors, Australia instead of Madrid, Barca, Inter and Chelsea. but at least folks will try new teams for a change

Dharmin --- not so sure about the scoring system. Last time i saw this IVG league going on.. i saw the table getting updated itself automatically(i think its organised by Dan that time). if it needs to be same format - then the format which you suggest might be a problem.

But it works fine if scoring and maintaining the table is done manually, and the idea of rewarding people who use a team of lower rating to defeat higher rating team is nice
