Risen is completed in more than 80 percent
- We will steer the same, nameless hero as the first part
- The protagonist now lives in a small harbor called Port Caldera
- The game world consists of several islands
- The story is more complex, made choices have different consequences
- There will be old friends, like Carlos and Gregorius Steelbeard.
- Risenowi two closer to the story about pirates
- We will be able to travel around the islands by ship (it is not known whether it will be our property)
- At sea, they live different sea monsters that attack ships
- It will feature high-speed travel between the islands
- The islands are characterized by different climate, different type of sites and monsters
- There will be guns
- The magic remains
- The same tree growth, which in Risenie
- Feel more realistic than in Risenie (some boxes are empty, with each transmission has to involve some history)
- The world will be greater than the first
- Secondary tasks are more complex than in Risenie
- The characters are animated motion capture technique
- Models of NPC and monsters will be characterized by greater detail (including more realistic faces)
- Bump mapping, cloud generated in real time (Risenie used skybox )
- There will be loadingów the islands and invisible walls, only a short load times when changing locations
- NPC will talk amongst themselves
- Day of each NPC will be routine, as in Risenie
- At night, there will be other monsters than in the day, as in Risenie
- Meet gnomes, minecrawlery, and a completely new types of enemies, as well as normal animals (eg monkeys and wild boar)
- The game will also be released on PS3, not just the Xbox 360 and PC, the Prime Minister later this year
no no no please don't noobify the game with stuff like quest guides. leave that to companies like bioware.

Yay
, graphics looks hell of a lot better than first one.
Its good to RPG gamer in 2011.

+ f**king 1. The best thing about Risen was that it made you figure out everything by yourself. Sure anyone coming from a Bioware or Bethesda RPG would give up on it in the first hour but it really made Risen stand apart from the rest of the fantasy RPG crowd. The difficult was just right and it wasn't just about mindlessly slaying enemies for XP and going from point A to B and fetching items. I really hope Risen 2 maintains that.
@Joy, agreed! However almost every year is great for RPG fans. But it's a shame that most folks don't look beyond the Biowares and Bethesdas.

Div2 is good (if not great). It plays more like Diablo II/Titan Quest than Risen though. Make sure you get the Dragon Knight Saga version. It is an enhanced version of the game and includes a separate campaign. It didn't exactly grab me in the first few hours but I started liking it eventually. The skills trees are very well implemented and who wouldn't like morphing into a dragon at will?

Wow do like the lighting
, this pirate setting is gonna be awesome , I loved Sid Mier's Pirate , sure it was a strategy game but pirates setting in a RPG is so very cool.
The fugly weird monsters., one of them looks like the dangerous fish from Finding Nemo.

BTW that town looks kinda similar to the Act 2 sea side town in Risen , forgot the name. The ally alongside the shoreline with docks and a lighthouse is very similar , hope they don't have a meatshop there as well this time.
