TrackMania 2 features a gameplay similar to previous games in the series. The player can race in various tracks with the ability to do stunts in various modes including a championship and a cooperative mode.[1] The track editor from previous games also returns, and includes a new ability to create geometries. A new "ManiaScript" is being created to help people to add new features in the game. New environments will be added to the game, where one will be named Canyon and one will be named Valley. The third environment is still unknown (there were rumors about the third envirnoment being called Arena, and though it would be too much alike one of the other environments in the series, it was scrapped). None of the environments from the previous games in the series will be included in TrackMania 2, since the producers of the game want it to be a sequel, not an upgrade.

Console folks might not know about it but it's a long-running series on the PC (although there are Wii/DS games as well).

they are going to dlc the sh*t out of this game. trackmania canyon for 50$, seaside tracks for 10$, arctic tracks for 10$, mountain tracks for 10$, jungle tracks for 10$ and so on.

Trackmania 2: Canyon’s multiplayer beta is available to all those who pre-ordered it and as you may already know, it comes with a track editor. Some users have already created various custom tracks and here is today a crazy and fun track by Misacorp. This track – called Loopatron – took him one night to create and looks great. so it turns out i was right about this, just got the prices wrong. instead of 50$ + 10$ + 10$ and so on, they have gone with 25$ + 25$ + 25$ + .... they plan to release a new paid dlc scenario/environment every 3-4 months. and they didn't put it on steam. went from an 'almost definite purchase' to a 'don't care much anymore' game for me.
