the controller looks bulky ..knowing nintendo though, it will suit the style of play.

think we shouldn't take them lightly, since the wii itself is the best-selling console of the current lot..it all depends on the games, and the list they have revealed does have some interesting ones

The controller is epic fail in my opinion. Too bulky for both indoor as well as commuters use.

the console will not use blu ray drive

it is got blu-ray ...it will have custom designed disc size though..12 cm.

The controller is epic fail in my opinion. Too bulky for both indoor as well as commuters use.

i dont know why they think that people would want to play such high end games on small screen.....tbh this whole concept of ...parents taking Tv ...then you can switch on the controller screen and play.... is not a problem anymore atleast not for americans .....In developer countries i can bet there are more than 2 TV in a house.....forget tv these days almost every monitor is supporting HDMI....
beside that the size...they should have atleast reduced the width a little ....such a big screen is not needed on a controller...

anyways got to give them on thing though.....dont think any of them sony and microsoft would have gone for such a bold design and such expensive controller. this controller feels like it will be for $100. :scratchchin:

How much does the controller actually weigh? It probably doubles up as a dumbell too.

Kudos to Nintendo for having balls to stray from the norm....Atleast they're putting in some effort & not just relying on COD for sales like Microsoft.

I think so,but there will be a definite fall in quality. The controller actually recieves transmission from the console.

Although Nintendos multiple screen policy fails me :scratchchin:

Agree. I really feel they were brave to do this....the size of the controller is a huge risk ....

Impressions of the controller and the console are up on gamespot...They say it is quite light and screen is very crisp
Here are some excerpts
GameSpot's Wii U Impressions

Giancarlo says: The Wii U controller is absolutely brilliant and The Legend of Zelda tech demo makes me confident in the system's visual capabilities...

Sarju says: The screen on the controller is also very crisp. It's way beyond what's offered on the Nintendo 3DS, and it's easily on par with something like the iPhone 4.

Carolyn says: The first thing that struck me about the Wii U tablet controller was its weight. By the look of it, I was expecting it to feel like something I might not want to hold for 15 or 20 minutes at a stretch, much less several hours of marathon gaming. But in fact, it's exceptionally light, and I found it comfortable to hold as well, with my fingers naturally resting right on the rear triggers.

Chris says:...and the controller is pleasantly light, with a vivid screen...
Edit: 400 posts...in almost four years...way 2 go :P
