so either they find the dumbest people in the country to genuinely laugh at every joke

or

they do what ever other show does, which is to have audience prompts for laughter and applause. that's about the same as a canned laughter track as far as i'm concerned.

Game Of Thrones. Enjoyed it. Not super duper, but pretty okay. I love the Cersei Tyrion scenes. I could watch a whole episode of just that.
This series is filled with so much A++ acting.

5X6 is a bit of a letdown though. I never like it when Mad men goes into those trippy self obsessed episodes. Its really dull.
