Slightly Mad Studios are proud to announce a licensing deal with Mitsubishi Motors that will allow Project CARS players to experience the iconic Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution in the WMD-powered title.
Project CARS will be including three different road-going Lancer Evo models as the Evo VI Tommi Mäkinen Edition, the Evo IX FQ 360 and the Evo X FQ 400 are on their way into the title.
In production since 1992, the Lancer Evolution is a high-performance sedan that quickly became very popular in the automotive world due to the car’s performance and Mitsubishi’s impressive winning streak in World Rally competition.
Since the first Lancer Evo, all models have been following the same basic formula that consists of a four-door sedan design powered by a two-liter turbo charged engine and four-wheel drive .
Project CARS will include three different models starting with the Lancer Evo VI Tommi Mäkinen Edition. Named in honor of four-time World Rally Champion Tommi Mäkinen, the car is powered by a 280hp version of the two-liter turbo and comes with several special features that set it apart from regular Evo VI models.

Project Cars was thought to be coming to Wii U thanks to a logo found on the game’s official website. It was later removed, making us wonder if developer Slightly Mad Studios had made a mistake or announced something they shouldn’t have.
In any case, we have an absolute confirmation that Project Cars has been in development for Wii U. It’s mentioned numerous times in the company’s “overview” report created back in February. Better yet, it contains some information as to how the title will play like on the new console.
The report makes note of the following points:
• Screen as primary view – Ie.. allowing you to transfer play of the game between the TV and on-the-go around the house
• Screen as secondary view – Switch between rear-view mirror, overhead map, telemetry
• Primary input method – Drive by tilting the controller, onscreen buttons replicate the buttons/switches on a real wheel (push to toggle on/off or flip up/down)
• Secondary input method – Manage decisions in the pits (swiping through tire choices, setting fuel amount),
• Camera – Personalize your profile, pose for the podium
• Menu navigation method – Flick photos from your gallery to the TV, private chat with teammates

Ha....now you're talking!!@ DA
check this new Helmet Cam, looks great i must say
If they can just accurately map the G-sensor from the telemetry to the helmet cam reactive physics, it'd be the bestest most awesomest helmet cam of all time

These micro-snaps continue to happen as the car starts moving until they finally switch to cockpit view.
iRacing has set the bar so so high, every sim developer on the planet is going to be playing catch up for the next decade
Fantastic graphics though...

What're you playing these days dude?At the start of the video, you can see some pretty big physics glitches when the car fails to make proper contact with the track and then just sorta snaps into position.

NKPro is probably the only other sim that can stand up to iRacing physics wise but it's very buggy and lacking any kind of polish whatsoever.@ saumil
have you played Netkar pro?

Now the average simracer has grown to ignore such things as there aren't many choices but NKPro fails to break that threshold as well.
But when it does work, it's brilliant.
It has some really nice things like track marble build-up, visible tyre wear (I know the Codemasters F1 titles have it, but NKPro had it 7 years ago
It's just sad that one has to jump through hoops just to get some basic functionality and stability out of it.
