Don't waste your time. I updated using USB stick and proxy method is not working.

Ya, I believe it is the same link. If u download now and try using USB, it will say that u r already on the same firmware u r trying to flash. If u want u can apply the same update again but I doubt whether it will do any good.

Even at my end, it only works over Ethernet. testing it now and I think its working fine for me. a 237mb patch(UC3) got transferred quickly than 31mb and 91mb ones.

will try transferring a game from pc to PS3 and will confirm

Working for me today also, just downloaded a 57MB patch for MOH2010 and it got uploaded the way it works

try with ETHERNET connection between ur PC and ps3. It won't show logs of SIGN in or like that. but will directly resume the download.

PS3 Proxy have always worked for me on both Ethernet and WiFi.

I haven't tried it after 4.30 update, don't know whether it is working now or not. Have nothing to update/install at present. :\

I was one like you guys worried so much regarding the proxy method aint working with the new firmware update. and guess found I found a way and it works sony dint screw up things.
All you go to do is download the game file in your pc and transfer it via proxy as usual and the thing you need to do is when the download in the ps3 begins just select download in background and go to the place where the background download would take place and watch the download file gets transferred from your pc
I tested it with machinerum just sometime back wanted to let you all know

proxy is working fine with my PS3 at 4.30 firmware.

I havent tested with the Wi-Fi yet, but tried and tested with ethernet

but then in the video i did not do any background download of the THEME that i downloaded as the button does not appear for themes. Mine is working even in that case

But what about game patches/updates ?

Just keep the download in background. It then downloads from PC and not the servers.
