leoz
Hello Guys, as you might have noticed from my previous posts i have got myself a new Xbox360 from US, Now the problems i am facing are 1)I called Xbox support to replace the power supply with that of a Indian Rating but they refused saying that they don't that any more and offered to help me purchase a new one which would cost like 4K, I mean 4k really So I am thinking of buying a Maxine Step-Down Transformer 220/110v 500W rated, My question is have you guys tried doing this i.e.,Using a Step Down Transformer and using it with the Power Supply you got with your NTSC console, Is there a chance of damage?? 2)Don't even get me started about games, why are there regions even?? How do you guys manage getting your games i mean what options do we have and if you are getting from play-asia how to avoid customs?? are NTSC games sold in this forum?? Solutions, help needed Thanks Guys

Ph3N0M
Most 360 games are region free anyway, And a step down transformer will work just fine. You don't even need such a high-power one. The 360 doesn't pull in that kind of power. It's all under 200W at the most(a very liberal estimate considering that it doesn't even get above 150W usually). skull'n'bones
Step-up Transformer is not the only solution. You can buy the similar Power brick, that ms offered you for 4k, in any of the local market that will cost you around 1.2k to 1.5k. If you are from Bangalore, get them @ S.P road. If you are from chennai, buy them from Ritchie Street.
mshingore
Thanks Guys for the Guidance, i am gonna purchase a step down transformer for supply and harjas i am gonna purchase the games from the link you provided appreciate the help man Step down transformer does not work. Get a local guy to make a power brick for you. I had the exact same issue and without much thought i used a spike guard and the power brick busted. Got a new one made for 2k. been 2 years using it regularly without any issue
