Congratz everyone. Even Jiggy and Rithvik have purchased ipads.

@Aman, the heating thing is completely overblown. When connected to the charger and being heavily tested and used on day1 by people i expect it to heat. I spoke to others and they are like in regular usage it doesn't even warm up much. Of course if u play infinity blade for 1-2 hours nonstop it will get warm. But normal usage its fine. Plus m happy to hear that browsing is better and it keeps more tabs in memory cache unlike iPad 2 where after 6-7 tabs the oldest tabs get refreshed

I have a gmail account attached with iChat on my iMac but dont know why it keep getting disconnected evertime it shows a lightning bolt logo in front of name

I too have had this problem... I think is mainly because of abruptly quitting ichat by pressing cmd + q rathar than signing off or something... The fix is the delete ur account from prefrences n create it again... It hardly takes like 30 seconds... I did that and the bolt hasnt appeared in months... Hope this helps...

Bought the gadgdgetzshield screen guard for the iPad 3. Sine it had installation procedure similar to that of zagg I thought it would be a good choice, turns out it was not. Few mins after the installation I turned it on, the entire screen was pixelated, took it off and threw it, am not gonna apply the back guard that came along with the screen as well now. Horrible product. Am just gonna use the iPad without the screen guard now, only with protective portfolio case. Don't see the point in buying a high def tablet only to have its screen ruined by the screen guard, any 1 else having the pixelating effect.

Once all the portions are installed, keep your device SWITCHED OFF for a period of 12-24 hrs to let the film set and all the left over moisture to dry out.

If you try to turn it on before the liquid/soap film is dried out, everything will look blurry and pixelated.

I even squezzed out most of the solution.The screen looked like a rainbow, at that point of time even Akash tablet would have looked better than the iPad. Got so frustrated for wasting time and money that I chucked the protector in the bin

You should have waited for a few hours more. When I got mine installed, I waited a good 8 hours. When i turned it on, there was this little spot that was seeing that rainbow effect but that too disappeared the next day.

From what I understand, besides squeezing out as much as possible, letting it dry is the key.

yeah, a little spot i could have managed to keep myself patient, but the whole screen was like a rainbow and watching it from different angles gave it a 3d like effect , the gadzetshield is anyways in the dustbin now, maybe i'll try a normal screen guard and have it installed professionally just to be safe or i'll just use it without a screen guard

yeah I had read that it's screen is smudge free and resistant to finger prints, but this was not the case. So eventually I will have to buy a screen guard

nah, am pretty sure that I got the installation right. Waiting would not have made a difference as after 1 hour the skin actually dries out and it had when I removed it. Its just a horrible product

Got a message from their CS after leaving a negative feedback on eBay. They are sending a new skin, at least they have got their CS right. Let's see what happens after waiting, they claim their film is superior to zagg and hence requires much larger drying period. Let's see

You kept it on for an hour. Cody kept it on for 8 hours and it still had a spot. I think that indicates a pretty significant amount of impatience on your part.

Cody had a small spot after 8 hours. I had the full screen after 1 hours in a room with ac and 2 fans
