LEFT4DEAD 2

Developers : Valve

Publisher: (Not mentioned Yet)

Platform : PC, Xbox 360

Release Date : November 17,2009

Genre : First-person shooter

Mode : Multiplayer

Set for release on November 17, the title adds melee combat to enable deeper co-operative gameplay, with items such as a chainsaw, frying pan, axe, baseball bat, and more.

Introducing the AI Director 2.0, L4D’s dynamic gameplay is taken to the next level by giving the Director the ability to procedurally change weather effects, world objects, and pathways in addition to tailoring the enemy population, effects, and sounds to match the players’ performance. The result is a unique game session custom fitted to provide a satisfying and uniquely challenging experience each time the game is played.

Featuring new Survivors, boss zombies, weapons, and items, Left 4 Dead 2 offers a much larger game than the original with more co-operative campaigns, more Versus campaigns, and maps for Survival mode available at launch.

Still can't get over the shock that valve announced the sequel so early...still buying though.

^Yup..from the hands on impressions..it seems the witch won't be sitting in one place anymore. For those who didn't read the hands on impressions..

And it seems in the daytime, the Witch has a bit more pep. Rather than sitting crouched, sobbing, singing, now this most terrifying of gaming enemies methodically paces around, wandering where she sees fit, although still apparently zoned out. She may be on foot, but she’s no more interested in being disturbed. This adds in a whole new aspect to Witch evasion. No longer can you simply take the long way around where she’s squatted. Instead, she may well be walking exactly where you’re headed. Or worse, walking up behind you, singing her haunting song, suddenly infuriated by you when you swing around in terror.

Definitely interested in seeing what kind of pathways the director would place based on your performance.

Seems they're toying with the idea of bundling all the levels from the first game on the L4D2 disc!

difficult to happen....

LFD2 is being made by Turtle Rock Studios, a subsidiary of Valve

There u go........then the core team IS working on ep3....... when is the valve conf guys ?

And athekwa.......problem is that l4d has been a big 360 hit too.....they just cant keep adding more and more maps (mods are not an option on LIVE)......nor is it like RTS where adding a few rules would change the gameplay drastically......so i guess its fine...

It is too soon to release L4D....they should have added new bosses/weapons/maps/campaigns in the L4D itself, but then it wouldnt make them any money!!!

If it was on PC they would have done exactly that, but as you know M$ doesnt want anything free on Live.
