Bungie, the creators of Halo, have finally revealed what Aerospace is all about. It is a platform for young and aspiring developers to publish their work and get noticed. The independent studios will also get access to Bungie.net, which exposes them to the gigantic Bungie community.
The first project Bungie is funding, is an iOS and Android game made by Seattle-based Harebrained Schemes, and is codenamed Crimson. Unfortunately, that’s all we know about the project, as it is not ready to be revealed yet.
“Bungie Aerospace will allow us to explore game creation in multiple formats with some amazingly talented teams. Now that we’ve returned to our roots as an independent studio, we are in a position to launch Bungie Aerospace to support, foster, and elevate like-minded, independent developers,” said Pete Parsons, Bungie COO.
