EA announces SimCity for Mac

Publisher Electronic Arts announced at its Gamescom press conference that SimCity, developed by Maxis, will will be releasing on MAC in February, 2013. “To the millions of SimCity fans out there, we’ve been listening and can proudly say that your calls have been answered. SimCity has a long legacy on the Mac and the team at Maxis is ensuring that it will be the deepest, richest and most accessible SimCity game yet,” said Lucy Bradshaw, senior vice president and general manager of Maxis.

What’s more, EA also went on to premiere a teaser-trailer of SimCity World, the game’s online framework where players all over the world will be able to contribute to the global (virtual) economy thereby controlling energy price fluctuations. If you’re interested to get an early taste of the game,  registrations are open for the closed beta.
