Gameloft has announced an online, class-based multiplayer shooter that goes by the name of Blitz Brigade for iOs and Android platforms. Details are a bit scarce at this moment, but one look at the trailer and the gratuitous borrowing from games like Team Fortress 2 and Battlefield: Heroes is very apparent.
It seems Blitz Brigade will be a free to play game (with paid micro-transactions obviously) and will take place during World War II. The game will also feature single player challenges, but will largely concentrate on online, class based warfare that features vehicles as well.
While I have no issues with a Team Fortress 2-esque game on my iPad, I’m getting nightmares thinking about the control scheme since that is the biggest problem faced by shooters on handheld devices.
