God of War: Ascension is all set to get a two player, time based co-operative mode called Trial of the Gods. If for some reason, you have no one to play with, Trial of the Gods can be tackled solo as well.
Unfortunately, this co-op mode has nothing to do with the single player campaign; it’s more of a Horde mode where two players face up to five increasingly difficult waves of enemies against the clock. Upon successfully completing all five waves, you’ll encounter an “epic boss”.
At launch, Trial of the Gods will be available in the following maps – Desert of Lost Souls, Forum of Hercules, and Rotunda of Olympus, with more planned as future DLC.
