Injustice: Gods Among Us to get comic treatment

Injustice: Gods Among Us, the upcoming fighting game from NetherRealm Studios is all set to get a comic book adaptation. This doesn’t really come as much of a surprise given the amount of comic book characters present in that game.

This news comes to us via Polygon who had a chance to sit down and talk to NetherRealm Studios’ head honcho, Ed Boon at the EB Expo in Sydney. Here’s what he had to say, “We’re working on an Injustice comic book to carry the story and tell the events that came before the game. With a game like Mortal Kombat, so many things spawned from there, like the movie. Obviously the extreme version is it would spawn a lot more things, but I know for sure we are making an Injustice comic.”

We’re not sure when that comic would hit stand but Injustice: Gods Among Us, the game will release April 2013 for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U.
