Valve kicks off Steam’s Big Picture modePosted on Tuesday, 11th September 2012 by Avinash Bali
Steam’s Big Picture mode is now live allowing couch gamers to easily access and browse through their Steam client via their TVs. All you have to do is connect your PC to the TV via an HDMI cable, click the Big Picture mode on the upper right hand side in your Steam client and Steam will fully be streamlined for TV. The Big Picture mode has been optimized to offer full controller support but if you’re real old-school, you’ll still be able to get by using a mouse and keyboard.
“PC gaming continues to be the leading edge of entertainment, whether it’s social gaming, MMOs, graphics hardware, free-to-play, or competitive gaming,” said Gabe Newell, president of Valve. “With Big Picture for Steam, we are trying to do our part to give customers and developers what they want – their games, everywhere, optimized for the environment in which they are playing.”ivg / steam / Steam Big Picture / valve
