After a year of exclusivity with launch partner Amazon.in, the Xbox One, along with its first-party games and accessories, is now also available at Flipkart.
The console’s launch on Flipkart coincides with Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale, which expanded to the electronics category today.
Microsoft also recently began selling Xbox products at various Microsoft Priority stores in the country.
“Over the last one year, through our partnership with Amazon.in, we have received an overwhelming response from consumers for Xbox One and Xbox 360 in India. Responding to this growing demand, we are now extending the availability of our portfolio to Flipkart,” said Anshu Mor, India head for Xbox.
This doesn’t seem to be the only new avenue Microsoft is exploring, however. We’ve heard from a couple of sources that the Xbox will also shortly go on sale on Snapdeal and at physical retail. When that happens, however, remains to be seen.
