So Malignant is "out". 75% on RT, but pretty much everyone seems to agree that it's outrageously insane and over the top. Reading some of these review summaries has got me quite excited. James Wan swings for the fences and it pays off big time. Malignant is a bonkers and bloody delight that showcases a multitude of different skills and styles Wan's honed through his horror films over the years. [The film is saved by] a frantic, blood-spattered climax of outrageous action and violence, propelled by a jaw-dropping revelation so ridiculously audacious it must be seen to be believed. Maybe the outrageousness will turn off viewers looking for a more conventional fright flick. Anyone with a taste for the bold, however, will find plenty to admire and enjoy. Malignant is rarely scary, but its outlandish bits likely didn't happen by accident - not when it culminates in scenes so ludicrously over the top that they invite both fist-pumping cheers and wheeze-inducing laughter. I can see it being divisive in some ways, but I'd much rather praise this original horror film for combing a high level of gonzo energy with Wan's flair for inventive imagery. Though the rote storytelling drags down the build-up, Malignant has a twist that I predict will be talked about for years to come in the same breath as Psycho, Sleepaway Camp, The Mist or even Wan's own Saw. Camp horror at its finest, a leaky cauldron of influences that mix into a wild third act as gory as it is unpredictable. None of this is especially scary, but, if you're patient, Wan delivers the kind of hilariously sick climax that only a sadist would spoil. Or envisage.

I'm not sure about that as technically you're claiming it through the starter pack, so essentially, once claimed it should load all the assets via Hitman 3's legacy pack and shouldn't need a disc validation. I'd suggest double checking on some other forum or contact IO in terms of how the compatibility actually works for this. I'll dig around and see if I can find something.

+ the VR games they developed have good ratings too. So they could help Sony move some PSVR2 units too...if they make a semi-decent game(s) with may be a B-team.

@vikasps I can't confirm how the whole level import thing works for the previous games via Hitman 3 starter pack, but if you're just asking for the cheaper option, then IMO, disc should work out cheaper if you sell it off once done. Historical lowest for Hitman GOTY edition was $9 on PSN digital. A pre-owned copy of the Hitman Definitive edition is currently at 899 on Gameloot. Are you playing it on PS4 or PS5? I have Hitman 1 & 2 via PSN plus, but I haven't tried importing any of them from the Hitman 3 starter pack yet.

I have no clue how the disc method works as I don’t own any For digital you have to just use the same method you used for Hitman 2

There is a visible impact especially in a game where it's Wolverine who can claw his way through almost anything or anyone. After watching Logan (the movie), I can't get myself to watch any of those initial X-Men movies. It's one the reasons why I hated the Sigma version of Ninja Gaiden 2. The dismemberment gave the original game a brutal and visceral feel, instead of having that blue misty sh*t flying around like Sigma did. Then again, that's how I'm wired. I love me some good ol' Hollywood's 80's style action movies with gratuitous nudity and violence and if games can have that, count me in. I also agree with people wanting a linear approach for this one; it makes perfect sense. This is one game which needs to have an action packed no nonsense storyline. We can at least be rest assured that the engine they use now will provide top of the line visual fidelity and performance.

I noticed that too. I am actually expecting a lot of backlash when the release date is near. I hope the game (appearance!!?) stays as it is. Made by a korean team. These guys dont give a f**k about wokeness.

Roy scenes are good as always. He's perfect. Jamie character growth is very good. That whole scene was pretty strong. Wembley is always spectacular and nice to see real Mike Dean. The result was expected. He kind of got jealous when Roy being asked to lead the practice. Also during confession, he did humble brag. Hmm... Too big of a power difference and isn't that just the opposite of what Rupert did with some young chick? The first part was good but the ending felt icky and forced. I also hope neither of them blames another person over match result or relationship getting stalled due to match. That would be so cliché and lame to see. Otherwise good episode. Had all kinds of emotions.

Everyone interested in gameplay (or games in general) should play Arkane games. Absolutely fantastic stuff.

Why should these be mutually exclusive? God of War has always been a graphical powerhouse for PlayStation and it has never had a problem juggling between graphics and story/narrative. So why now? Especially when Sony will be charging $10 extra for what looks like barely an upgrade.

Yeah, I know. You would still expect there to be dismemberment is what I'm saying. This is not the case in Jedi Fallen Order though (at least with human enemies like Storm Troopers) because Disney apparently blocked it. Now as Disney owns Marvel as well, you can see where the fear of no blood and gore in this game is coming from.
