  3. Now why would you go and say a thing like that? Stay here long enough and you'll realise there's just 2-3 people arguing among themselves. Sometimes it's just one person arguing with himself and everyone else at the same time. Sometimes everyone is agreeing and disagreeing at the same time.

  17. ^ There was an idiot in our school. As narrated by him his story " there was no electricity at that time, it was 5:00 am in the morning. He wanted to go somewhere on his bike. He checked petrol by opening the petrol cap and looked inside using a lighter. And there goes boom. It caught fire. Luckily just some eyelashes and front hair got damaged. Fire was controlled quickly by his father/family. Motorcycle ki Tanki ki watt lag gayi wo alag skool mein beizzati hui wo alag.

  22. Starfield getting delayed is a loss for M$ not Bethesda. So please don’t give me this sh*t atleast in this thread that we are arguing for the sake of Bethesda & not M$. It’s M$ that failed to deliver anything meaningful in the entirety of XBone generation moving into even XBseries. (Apart from holy trinity of course) 2 years in & still nothing. If Starfield gets delayed it will be a disaster for Xbox brand……not anyone else.

  28. First, why should we as customers worry about business sustainability ? That's for their investors/share holders/suits to decide. As long as it's avilable at low price, let's make the most of it and enjoy while it lasts. Second, just for argument sake, looking at/having worked in this sw dev industry for over 1.5 decades, i can say that it looks mostly to be a cash burn project for some time to come. But i don't think MS is looking at profitability right now. Their goal looks to be to create/turn Xbox into a platform, something like their office, which will have it's dedicated customers at internet scale, paying for services and third party Dev's paying MS for hosting their games on it's platform. Maybe they want to be the fb of gaming in the long run (like marketplace for buying in game assets, a social network of online gamers etc etc), who knows ? If your see gamepass/xcloud is not limited to consoles, it's on Android/iPhone too. Expensive acquisitions like Activision won't payoff in the short term, but will help them churn/maintain content for this ubiquitous platform that they're planning to build for years to come. Again, all this is pure speculation, it may work out or not, nobody knows. But as consumers, we should not be worried so much about their balance sheets or what their long term plans are. I atleast would be happy if a time comes when i can play my AAA games on my mid range laptop/tv directly thru some cloud based gaming subscription, instead of having to buy a plastic box every few years.

  29. That's just one perspective, not the full picture. I feel, low cost consoles like xss+gamepass lowers the barrier of entry for a whole lot of gamers, especially in developing countries like India, where spending $70 on one game might sound unreasonable/out of reach, but ₹500 per month to access a large catalog of games might sound more vfm. Having an internet scale(100 million+) subscriber base would be a much more reliable revenue stream, which would mean more opportunities for gamedevs, not less. Anyway, i think that's where MS is going with gamepass (revenue by subscription volume instead of royalty thru specific titles).

  33. Dune The good is that the movie is moving visual art. It is breath-taking, gorgeous. Bad is that that’s the only good part. The fatal flaw for me was that the world and the way of life of the people just did not work. There’s tech advancement in some areas and others they are quite primitive, mostly in the order and way of life: emperors, house of X, etc. There was such a big disconnect that I had look up when the book was written, because this universe is completely oblivious to computers and silicon for most things, but not for weapons, and ships, and travel etc. If I had to wager a guess, I’d have pitted the book to be written in the early 1900’s, not 1965. In that way, the movie lost me within the first 10 minutes. I just wasn’t interested in anything except the visual creativity, and hoping for some good action and set pieces. Unfortunately, the action was sh*t too. Since the story or the characters did not interest me at all, the gaps of Denis Villeneuve as a filmmaker were front, and goddamn centre. Dune is slow, somber, and mind-numbing-ly boring. I WAS TEXTING during most of it. LOL. A worse thing I could not say about a movie. PS: Mad Max Fury Road and BR2049 walk that line of desolation in an alternate universe extremely proficiently. So it wasn’t the setting, or the vibe. Dune’s world felt idiotic, and incomplete conceptually. Also, this Nolan hangover of unclear dialog and vocals has got to die. 4/10

  34. Sony is working on a plan to put ads inside PlayStation games, sources said, similar to a move by Microsoft to run ads in Xbox. Three people who are involved in the plans said Sony is doing testing with adtech partners to help game developers create in-game ads through a software developer program. The idea is to encourage developers to keep building free-to-play games, which have soared in the pandemic, by giving them a way to monetize them, they said. Click to shrink... Three people who are involved in the plans said Sony is doing testing with adtech partners to help game developers create in-game ads through a software developer program. The idea is to encourage developers to keep building free-to-play games, which have soared in the pandemic, by giving them a way to monetize them, they said. The new effort, expected to launch by end of 2022, would put ads inside PlayStation games themselves, to be sold via a private marketplace, the sources said. The goal is for the ads to appear like they're part of the game, like digital billboards in sports stadiums. Formats could include ads that give viewers rewards for watching ads and promotions for in-game items like avatar skins. Sony hasn't decided if it would take a cut of the revenue, the sources said; one said it's also considering charging developers and publishers for data on consumer activity on the PlayStation. Sources said Sony started talking about building the PlayStation ad program about 18 months ago after launching the latest generation of its PS5 console. One said it's being strict about vetting adtech companies, ruling out collection of personal information like emails or names. Ohh god that was quick A little too quick for our analyst also to defend
