  1. Steam deck (when available) would be a better investment than series s. nothing can beat steam when it comes to prices.

  2. Not sure why I'm posting this in the console wars thread but I just picked up an Xbox One (og) for 5k off Facebook Marketplace. Insane deal, that completes my last gen trinity of PS4 Pro/Switch/XBO. The gamepass library for console is insane. ?

  3. Sony appears to have registered a new PlayStation 5 model in Japan, as the company received construction design certification in April for a CFI-1200 device that uses updated radio equipment. This approval is likely for the PS5, as the Sony console uses a CFI-1XXX model numbering scheme.

  5. Each weapon has a proficiency level and its progress is carried over after each death. Whenever you find a levelled up weapon, don’t swap it.

  8. Two things that helped me massively in combat: 1. Remapping the controls so that Jump is on L1, Dash on R1, and Consumables on O. 2. Enabling 'Always Sprint' in the gameplay settings. The slight downside to this is that it can make platforming feel a little tricky initially, but you'll get the hang of it after a while. Doing challenge rooms (rooms with a gold star IIRC) and avenging dead scouts can reward you nicely but can also easily f**k up your run. So only do them after you've explored every other room in a biome. Skip them if you're not in a good position or if you're not feeling too confident. And lastly, don't worry too much about dying, losing progress, and having to start over. Repeating the same levels multiple times is very much a part of the game. So embrace it and have fun with it.

  11. Xenoblade chronicles 1,2,3 Eastward (console exclusive on switch) Skyward sword hd The collection on Nintendo switch online is amazing too. That's the only way to play Earthbound (which looks glorious on switch btw). It costs only 350 per year approx if there are 8 members sharing the family sub.

  14. Prepare for scenarios where you spend 1-1.5 hours doing a good run and a build but making some silly mistake and losing all your work especially just before completing the biome - this is usually quite agonizing

  15. If you are going based only on quality of games - Complete Elden Ring. Be warned though - you might need a break from gaming altogether after finishing the game (Simply because the gameplay is that good). If you want from shortest to longest - 1) Spiderman DLCs - will get over very fast 2) DMC5 SE - Short game, but really fun gameplay, and very nice characters 3) GOTG - Pretty short, good story (If you like GOTG Movies) but absolutely miserable and boring gameplay 4) Elden Ring - Longest and the best of the lot

  22. By the end I absolutely fell in love with Abby and the way she takes care of the trans kid (forgot the name). Sort of parallels the story of Joel and Ellie from tlou. And that final scene with the guitar is a masterclass in itself. Games is the only medium where you can pull off such a scene. Amazing.

  23. Respectfully disagree on the story part. I think it blows the first part's story out of the water with how impactful it is. Heck, not even many movies have had the same impact on me as this did. It's a challenging story that only the gaming medium could've fully justified. I'm glad Druckmann told the story that he wanted to tell instead of catering to fans. A bold decision that well and truly paid off as far as I'm concerned.

  24. I'm so torn right now. The last few days I've noticed a new 6-7 month old doggie, in the colony. Super friendly and she's probably been abandoned by someone. This one is so damn sweet. Always jumping up and running to me when I exit the gate. I have not said one word to her or even petted her and she still comes to me. Sits on my Activa when I'm ready to leave and I have to hunt her away. The ground floor neighbor was telling me every night she sits and howls. Probably depressed and missing her family. The folk in the building I live in don't like dogs, and actively hunt them away. This little thing is definitely not used to the outside and immediately runs into the staircase if the gate is left ajar. Today broke my heart a little. It's been pouring all day and someone hunted her outside in the rain. I left the house to walk to the store. The poor thing followed me all the way to the store in the rain. I tried shooing her away (all the while feeling terrible about it) but she stayed and followed me all the way back, sticking to me under my umbrella. I want to bring her home, and hug her and tell her it's going to be ok. But I'm so I'll equipped to take in a dog. Lack of space being the main problem. Maybe just for a while? ???
