  2. Sure. I'll explain some of the complexities in general term. Excluding the graphics, lookdev, animation and whatnot. Note, this is general terms, and applicable to general game development. 1. Open world speed tree mechanism and procedural object placement system used to be simple instances with some variables, with little to no physics in them. Now open world games weather system and the environment reacts upon that, ie more dynamic. This is to make world more believable. Environment and setdressing is more complex due to this, and player interaction is more elaborated. This is to make world more immersive, afterall game is an interactive and immersive media. Some of the engines even support dynamic object placement and remembers that in the world, such as BGS games, their engine could be janky in many area, but their engine do remembers the object matrix based upon world space. 2. Specially SP games focuses much more functional development of the game mechanism. AI development takes a huge chunk of time, it's not simple NPC or enemy path in game lvl anymore where enemies will only move to certain area or simple follow their moveset. These AI are given toolset of reaction which changes based upon player's function trigger. Games like TLOU2 spent a huge CHUNK of time to develop this. Thus, the enemy is more believable than it's predecessor. Again, details! As in emulating humanlike behaviour. 3. Hitbox detection and dynamic hitbox system. Nowadays every games has dynamic deformation and hitbox generation, and it's also getting much detailed over time. Again here, comes the AI reaction trigger that I mentioned in my last point. Look up in TLOU2. Enemy reacts differently based upon where they were being shot at, and with which weapon. All these details are, to push the immersion. 4. In RPG, the stat change is not just a simple hitbox number increase now, it has effects implied. Plus, there are more attributes that shows visible changes and playstyle nowadays. And it requires much robust balancing the toolset and testing. With each iteration, every RPG games do this. Divinity 2 plays better and has more diversity in classes than Divinity 1, thusly. 5. Third person Player movement is not like stick figure anymore, doesn't have 8 directional moveset like old times. It's 360 degree dynamic physics based set. Where player and npcs reacts upon world event trigger. Although it's rig and animation engineering but still, the functionality of characters are more fleshed out. 6. Gameplay! Yeah in a simple layman's term it's shooting or something. But these blunt looking functions also have much more nuances than you can imagine. Decal, hitcone and falloff calculation, particle generation, splash hit based on object detection and many many other functionality relies on it nowadays for most games. 7. Now, testing.....I feel bad for testers nowadays because they get the bashing by game communities and gamers....it's a stressful job and complex games require all these thousands of permutation and combination to go through to filter out everything...and even then it's not fully possible, specially for Open world games. More complex the game, more time require to find and report issues. I could go on. But this took me abit of time to write down and I have other things to do. Thanks.

  3. Just clearing an information. Development is a collaborative process. Even a junior artist and animator works with engine to develop a task. So don’t invent new stuffs for internet debate please.

  4. It was not directed at your speculation about game development. You can speculate as much as you want, no harm done. But when somebody actively engaged in AAA game development tries to give you an informed explanation, and you come back with something like this (even though not directly to him)- it does not look like you are asking a genuine question. It just looks like you are being a dick to somebody online for no good reason.

  5. So the reason is for requiring much time is not only graphics. It's also the complexity of engines, physics, render system, the complexity of mechanics in game. Not only animation, mocap cleanup, photogrammetry, art, vfx or graphics alone. But every aspect is more time consuming because of details. Even the sound design as well. They also require much, much more time because of more tracks, the complexity of it, the channel and mixing requirement of it. And, more quanity+quality of the each pipeline. Even on programming, testing..everywhere, games nowadays depends on so many sub-engines that it require much more complex integration than ever before. Plus complex piece of softwares generates more bugs, that alone takes huge amount of time to fix. Simple funda, complex problems are solvable when given time. I dunno how much you pay attention to the details of the games, but people who does, will find more complexity...not only in graphics, but everywhere. A 360 era Gears of war won't be playing same way as Gears 5. Likewise, a PS3's Demon Souls won't be similar like a game such as Elden Ring. Or a PS3 era RDR1 is not on the same lvl as RDR2. Not only interms of graphics, but also mechanically and functionally. All of those games are from the same respective companies that made them. Do you think they are same, and only the graphics that has been advanced??

  8. Platinum #5: Tales of Arise The game was absolutely amazing and I finished it on launch. I did not try for the Platinum though. Tried for it much later - and it was absolutely amazing journey. Post-Game there were huge dungeons and absolutely bonkers bosses, plus awesome cameos from the other Tales Games, if you're a fan. Some trophies were a bit boring to get (requiring some farming) but it was a wild and enjoyable ride to the Platinum.

  9. Today another executive came home to bridge their router. All he did was change the connection type in airtel router to "bridge" from previous "router" mode and changed the WAN id password in my asus router settings. It did not do jacksh*t. Internet stopped working and he absolutely had no clue what else to do and said he will discuss with the team and return later. lol. He just wanted me to accept that it cannot happen and make do with their router. If this is the level of incompetence in a firm like airtel i can't imagine what other ISP customers must be going through. Cheers.

  14. Days gone The average reviews held me off but I am really enjoying the game. It’s slow paced especially in the beginning but camp 3 onwards, you really get immersed in the story and characters

  15. It shouldn't be doing that unless you're trying to land at some really tricky airport like Paro. You're possibly not setting up an approach while setting up the route. Assuming you are picking High / Low altitude IFR flight on the world map page, once you pick the arrival ILS there should be option to the left of it to pick the approach. Go through the options and select one that gives you enough distance to line up your glide slope.

  17. I'm as much developer as a programmer or a sound editor or an animator or game tester or a game story writer or a designer. All of the people work towards to develop a software.

  19. Oh I would say get a hang of doing ILS landings then move on to programming the FMS I'll try and find the resource I referred to for it. If not I'll see if I can edit together the ILS landing procedure that I follow. It's quite simple once you get a hang of it Nice! The current A320 build is simple though, real challenge will be to pull of a cold & dead start on the study level A310 without a checklist. 10,000 more systems to boot up & check before even pushback ?

  20. This one is Asobo A320 - Asia and Middle East pack. It was going for Rs 220 when I bought it. It also has Air asia, Emirates and some other middle eastern airliners. Wow.. A310 will be a great addition. I've learnt how to add a Direct To plan on the FMS but having trouble to get AP to be on course and catch the ILS signal during approach. Now just figuring out how to add waypoints and ILS info without using world map. I looked into Simbrief and onlineflightplanner for waypoints but yet to learn how to configure all that on the MCDU. Also memorized how to start up the A320 from cold and dark, without using any checklists.

  22. You are a pathetic creep. The last two adjectives used to describe you. And why do you consider youself as so important that people have to prove stuff to you. Let me spell it out for ya- you are a nobody who literally begged, to get unbanned from the forum. You could not even complete the full term of the ban. Speaks volumes about the life (or the lack of it) you have outside this site!. I'll stop here.

Almost every hour you will see some random sh*t from Twitter he post here. Guy spends hours creating spencer and Xbox memes to post here, follows Twitter threads of hardcore toxic ponies, so that he can post here and searches years old IVG posts to start fresh sh*t with someone on IVG. Lol. I have not seen a single post from him in what games you playing thread coz he dont own any console or play any games. He just post in versus thread nonstop lol.

  25. Looks like KGF meets Mad Max, Ranbir seems wrong for this, he has this chocolate boy image which is hard to shake off. BTW, watched - Acharya, felt like same old tried and trusted formulaic movie ! - Harder they fall , quite a good Western action movie. - The American, very chilled/classy movie starring George Clooney. Not much of a plot to write about, it's mostly about Clooney looking dapper thru the movie against the backdrop of exotic Italian locales. - Spiderhead, starts out well and builds a lot of intrigue initially, but i felt the plot twist was quite weak and the ending was quite average.

  29. Most (not all) Marvel movies are strictly watchable once. Comparing them to the likes of Cameron or Ridley Scott is just shitposting. One can watch and be highly entertained by the amazing direction of these two directors. Heck, without Cameron, there's no Terminator, Avatar, Aliens, Titanic, Abyss, RFB etc. Beyond the ones by Gunn, Marvel movies are highly generic, to the point of being boring if you watch then twice. Unfair to compare Cameron's acumen for direction to the money earned by Marvel since both are targeting different audiences. The floating mountains of Pandora - that scene is f**king etched in my eyes. The sheer scale of such grandiosity in 2009 was par excellence.

  30. So I just got done with Yakuza 6 story line and with that the Dragon of Dogima journey. Having taken a gaming break from 2019 till mid 2021 and with the launch of PS5, I felt it was the right time to come back. And man was I not spoiled with choices with the majority of AAA titles available like LOU 2 and others waiting for me. Don't know why at that time, I felt I needed to try something different, so I just bought yakuza 0 on sale for 399 without seeing any trailers, reviews in june 2021. Fast-forward to May 2022 and just around a year, I am done with the kiryu saga and those 7 titles. WHAT A BLAST IT HAS BEEN Talking about the kiryu saga as a whole, I would rate them in the following order: Y-0 Y-6 Song of Life Y-4 Y-5 Y-3 Y-1 (Kiwami) Y-2 (Kiwami 2) Have to be honest, if I had started with Kiwami as an entry point in the series, I would not have completed it because it was difficult to care for both protagonists as I found little reason to connect with them or this universe. BUT, this is where Yakuza 0 completely changes that view point. So anyone looking to start and complete this saga, Yakuza 0 will give you the initial adrenaline push to be connected with this franchise. Now lets fast-forward Song of life is a fitting ending to the kiryu saga and gives you that mental satisfaction of playing through the entire series through the hints of previous events mentioned not only in the main story but also the freaking SIDE STORIES (Pocket circuit Fighter, SHORO PIPI guy etc.) The main story is second best in the series, just after 0 because they make us care about the supporting characters again which hadn't happened since 0. For e.g. Won't write a lot about side stories and side activities because they are always top-notch and the RGG team is coming with new ideas, which is always good to see. Now will take a proper break (for REAL this time) before I jump into the remaining 3 games, but before that I need to go back to RIZAP Gym to get those sessions done. Favorite soundtracks from the series
