No matter what signal it sends, Firestick will downsample it to 1080p and your monitor upscales the 1080p signal to 1440p. This wouldn’t be the case if Firestick supported 1440p, but it does not. It wouldn’t make any sense for Firestick to add 1440p support coz movies/tv shows are only made in 1080p and 4k.

Completed metroid dread this weekend. Oh man the boss battles are so intense and equally rewarding. The levels are so well designed and especially the background details in these levels look so good. Story is so well written and samus's new abilities too are so good! I'm a huge metroid fanboi but damn what a game

Watching 'The dropout' on hotstar - on the 7th episode now. It's based on the Theranos story and amusing to know that someone with no startup/business experience was able to pull a scam of that magnitude and hoodwink so many authorities/investors in modern day us (with all their sophisticated investigators and stuff). I mean, the show claims that the company had Rupert Murdoch as an investor and Henry Kissinger on board ! The way the Walgreens got scammed is the most interesting thing on the show. Can't believe all these excecutives were so gullible ! Brilliant performances by both Amanda Seyfried and Naveen Andrews.

Oh just watch the first episode and you will be hooked. It’s brilliant and the acting is amazing all around (specially Mandy Moore). The writing is something else, I never knew family dramas can be so addictive, it’s one of my fav shows. Strangely only the first 10 mins of the show have some nudity so be careful if you plan to watch it with your family after that though the entire series is family friendly. I can’t recommend it enough , it’s amazing. Oh btw virgin river female lead is in it too. It’s on Hotstar and I think the first 2 seasons are on Amazon as well.
