brahmastra is a big big dud. so much money was wasted on the vfx & despite the good quality none of them standout or help the action sequences or film. not one single action setpiece will be remembered once the show's over or even go viral like RRR or 2.0. its just random effects going all over with zero creativity. total waste of crores & crores of rs. & the whole movie itself is an love story and has absolutely nothing to do with indian mythology or lore except using the word astra with everything. the bigger inspiration is from doctor strange, anime or even captain planet. and the ending is a joke, the greatest weapon to be ever written about gets defeated by the power of love in a few mins . the astra weilding people themselves are shown like a bunch of clowns & get beaten up by random nobodies & any sadakchap can come and use the astras once he gets his hands on it. and bc how did the director and producer even approve the dialogues in this movie. from tapori munnabhai like dialogues at the start to absolute sh*t lines like "woh jo 3 triangle joint hoke pizza banta hai" (referring to the brahmastra). a good concept that is ruined by the usual bollywood love story and lack of research. in the hands of a more visionary & capable directors like Rajamouli or Shankar this could have been the start of something exciting for Indian cinema but after this I'll be very surprised if part 2 of this movie ( title revealed at the end) goes into full production.

Black Adam looks like a collection of all the famous action sequences from comic book movies released so far and I am not complaining. Even the VFX looks decent. If it’s lean and mean, it will become a commercial success despite the rotten score on RT.

It’s debatable if the story in Tenet is good or not, but you can at least appreciate the technical efforts of Nolan and his crew. Can’t say the same for Whedon-esque trash.

[RANT] This has become a sh*t show faster than I'd anticipated. Out of all the (movie) titles we shortlist on an ongoing basis, hardly any are available on any network. Out of all networks, only three are really any good with a/v fidelity. Title discovery is janky at best. The UIs are a mess, and there's no consensus, on any hardware platform. The Netflix model of mediocrity and high quantity has run its course. Most nights, unless pre-decided and pre-checked for availability, the scrolling to find something worthwhile is seemingly endless. That you have to switch between apps to do so is all the more annoying. I like the Apple TV+ model of paying minimal monthly, and rent any title available. Except, not all titles are available, and all that are available on TV+ in India are CBFC fvcked over, censored, and include the smoking and other "warnings". Ugh. There is no "DVR" functionality replacement for live sports ala Tata Sky with recording. It should be easy to implement. These guys are still living in the Stone Age. Goddamn dinosaurs. We need what Jobs & co. did for music to be done for a/v. Give me all titles under one roof, make them good quality, and let me rent/buy each one as I want. Fvck your worthless subscriptions. Only the UWB is improved. Rest all is marketing. The A16 is also not much better then A15. All gains are due to 4nm node. 10-15% single core improvement. If someone can get cheap 13 Pro, it's better value for money. Or just get the 14. It's like 13P (without telephoto), and a bunch of QoL upgrades.

Wife dragged me to this, another back to back snoozefest, so much so I walked out even before movie ended. Must have skipped last 15 minutes, so I have no clue what 2nd movie will be called. The ending sequence though nice is so haphazard and i could not stand it after sometime, and so much that i was having headache. Wife also walked out and had to buy me biryani and coke to compensate and avoid my fury. She just liked the first guest appearance as that appearance has been long over due for theatres, and that is one of her favorite celebrity. I don't give a sh*t about the celebrity so for me everything was sad. Even bacchan looked so disinterested. Bhramastra should be renamed to Sharamastra.

Shazam was okay-ish at best but definitely overhyped. Mostly because it was one of the few DC movies at the time that didn't suck completely. Yep, Love and Thunder is a fun watch! For me, Ragnarok > Thor > Love and Thunder > Dark World.

While I won’t usually just sh*t on things, I agree with Athek. We put it on yesterday, as we were in the mood for light timepass, something that won’t require too much of our attention, and we turned it off within 20 mins. It felt like a b-grade tv show. Something that had no right to follow Ragnarok. Hemsworth deserved better. To top it, the sound mixing was quite pedestrian. I guess they passed it onto interns to master.
