Finished reading Planet Hulk+ World War Hulk comics. What a goddamn fun read. Holy sh*t f**k Taika Waititi and entire MCU for sh*tting on Hulk and the side characters. Korg and Miek are so badass and totally different in comics. After reading Gorr the Butcher story arc and Planet Hulk+World War Hulk story arc, I have finally realised that MCU is a complete waste of time. Clowns like Taika Waititi can ruin it all they want. I know movie adaptations of comics is extremely tough and it can never be 1 to 1 but what these idiots are doing is pathetic. With end game, everyone, even the casuals were onboard with comic book movies, but these idiots decided to dumb it down with absolute clownary. They are going to completely butcher Daredevil too1 point

The first few episodes of Andor are getting some good impressions on twitter. I'm liking what I'm reading, and it's got me excited for Wednesday.1 point

That was a fairly lengthy demo. Enjoyed it quite a bit. Though the game isn't much of a looker, there is still a noticeable upgrade in the visuals over Nioh 2. I especially loved the smoother animations. I do have some mixed feelings about the combat though. It seems to be a mixture of Nioh and Sekiro's combat with a slightly slower pace and more of an emphasis on deflecting, which I don't mind. But it also doesn't feel as responsive or as polished. Add that to the fact that there's no dismemberment or pinata-burst-like loot drops, and it made for a significantly less satisfying experience for me personally. I expect most of this will get sorted by the time game releases though. And of course, I'll definitely be playing it day one thanks to game pass. Anyway, here's a video of the boss-fight. The first phase was a push-over, but the second one was much tougher.1 point

It's a polaroid style camera i.e. it has an inbuilt printer, and uses the mini prints by Fuji. You can also get wide cameras or square cameras if you like that aspect ratio. It also has 10 in built filters + 10 lens effects, giving quite a bit of leeway in how you want to "creatively" shoot stuff. Small and lightweight enough to pocketable, and personal enough that you can click and print a photo in less than 10 seconds. It also allows printing photos on your phone. Just as an example, we used the first roll of 10 prints yesterday for these pics, which my daughter is putting in her scrapbook now, with some writings and drawings: You can get different style of films, write on the edges etc. How it works: Film costs around 500-600 for a pack of 10. Camera + 2 film rolls (20 pieces) are for 20k, but you can get Instax from 5k onwards too.1 point

Singapore Airbnbs have now gotten tremendously expensive. The housing situation is pretty bad right now (scarcity due to Covid), and hence the high pricing. They are as expensive as decent hotels, without the amenities. Still, you might get a good deal if planned well in advance. It’s a city well connected with clean public transport - metro and bus. You can buy an MRT card and it’ll work for public transport. Taxis are easily available, and you’ve GRAB on demand (it’s like a super app). Little India has OK-ish places if you specifically want to stay near Indian places - but you can get better hospitality elsewhere. Places near Marina Bay Sand might offer better view (Fairmont, Fullerton, Swissotel etc), and the hospitality is excellent. Orchard street is for high end shopping. Bugis street/village/Junction/+ is for shopping to your hearts content, but not break the bank. You can even negotiate in Bugis. Also check out multiple shops on 4th floor in Bugis - you’ll find a TON of stuff not available on India (they also have a huge BHG - well worth the visit). Avoid Mustafa as that place is just dreary and unwelcoming. It does stock everything under the sun, but the general ambience leaves much to be desired. I would only recommend for perfumes. For sightseeing, 1 day for zoo. Start at 9 am, and you’ll finish the day at 9 pm. Day zoo, river zoo and river safari, night safari. All worth the effort. Half a day (or lesser) for Jurong Bird Park. You can do around Singapore Eye + Merlion + Clarke Quay for rest of the day. Good eating places around Singapore river. 1 day for experiencing Marina Bay Sands + Gardens by the Bay + Cloud Forest + Flower Dome + Super Trees (and their evening show) 1 and half days for Sentosa if you want to explore it fully. You’ll easily spend half a day enjoying rides in Universal (get the fast/express pass), followed by SEA aquarium (amazing stuff), flying fox etc. Don’t miss their evening and night shows (some are free, some are paid), and cable car journey (you can buy the day pass, which allows unlimited travel). Singapore also is a hub for many interesting museums. Check online on what’s running now - the ArtScience is always a treat. It’s a young city, with great vibe. Explore different parts, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. Hit me up if you need to know anything specific. Edit: If you’ve extra days, there are good 1-3 day cruises from Singapore - both to nearby countries, but also “cruise to nowhere”. Pretty cool stuff too.1 point
