So, as the entire world was going mad about Ragnarok I felt I needed to delve into the GoW saga because I was a complete virgin to the series. Hadn't played a single God of War game! I picked up GoW I about 1.5 months back and so far have completed... GoW I GoW II GoW III Gow: Ascension (All back to back without playing any other title in-between or along with). I have been completely immersed in the GoW universe and the lore along with the smashing gameplay has kept me completely hooked. Not to mention the tremendous action my thumb and index fingers have been getting lately! I completed Ascension last evening and thought will take a break before I pick up GoW 2018 or maybe switch things up and play some other title before I get into it but I seriously can't detain myself from jumping in, it's too darn tempting. And so installing it on my PC and beginning GoW 2018 tonight

How? FF16 has no relation to FF15 at all. You don't need to know anything about FF15 to play this Also @RV1709 Direct Sequels are numbered differently in the FF Series. For example Final Fantasy 8 has no relation to FF7. But the direct sequel to FF7 will be branded Final Fantasy 7 Part 2 or FF7-2. Same way FF14 and FF15 have no relation to FF13, but FF13-2 and FF13-3 are direct sequals to the base game that is FF13.

Yes, and their games are sold across the world, not just Japan. That's why they release on PS, PC and Switch, which covers almost everything. Most of remaining 5% don't buy SE games, out of those interested most would again wait for GP launch, SE would probably end up spending more on porting to that platform, so they're irrelevant.

What're you talking about?! Japanese Dev's don't need to cater to western audience, their games are making a mark in west as it is. SE wouldn't have sold their western studios if they needed western market. The only one failing to penetrate Japanese market is Xbox. Failing in console sales and failing in third party relations.

That's a market segment that offers highest growth potential. Final Fantasy is only big franchise that sells under 10 million for new entries (FF7 R is like 5-6 million sold). Japanese Dev's dependency on PlayStation has resulted in limited growth for them.

Jeez these look incredible. So so much better than the reveal trailer. Yes. Numbered titles stand on their own, no previous game experience needed. Only 7, X and 13 have parts.

Every Final Fantasy is new story. Only certain themes are common. Maybe play FF7 remake first. JRPGs are not for everyone.

I would have waited for a month or so to pickup the new console when stock arrives, but just few days back bough PS Plus Extra one year sub which came just for 3k.. hence I dont want to waste few days or months out of the subscription.

Since it's been 2 years since current gen consoles came out, I urge all members to replace the game you donated with a PS5/XSX/Switch game released with last 2 years. Obviously I don't want to enforce such a rule but for the benefit of the Library and community in general, do consider it.
