Reason for edit: TO PROVE IT EXISTS! -V

How much does Xperia cost in India?
40-42k

-
-
-
checkout www.phoload.com
its a new site.. but it might have what yu want!!
-
wow!
I should have shared this with you guys. When I was using HTC Diamond, I was using this application called DashWire. Basically every night i used to sync it. Consider it something like MobileMe for iPhone but this one is free and works quite well.
Check it out

yeah i checked out dashwire and found it amazing... i did all my homework before i can judge that im gonna buy Xperia and Xperia > Omnia

-
One more reason why Xperia > Omnia, XDA-DEVELOPERS
Need i say more ?
yeah... they even made the HTC TouchFLO 3D user interface for the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1.

-
^
why dont yu go for Omnia that chaztin is selling in trading post??? it does meet yur budget and its an awesome phone!!
-
if you go in the full edit mode rather than quick edit, the option is there
peace
even i cant locate it
i.e. if its there!! :melloe:and i think its one of the best features that is still missing here... or is it?!!
-
Yes, extensive 3rd party codec support is available for WM. Just try using TCPMP (free) or Core Player (paid).
i have a cracked version of core player!

-
lol

Sony > Samsung anyway

that was already in my mind before i went and checked them out

-
The best thing about the Xperia is not that it has a qwerty, but that it has that angled qwerty. Amazing keyboard to type on.
seriously... its arc slider made me like

-
But nothing beats out of the box support.
true nothing beats an embedded feature... but still.... Xperia > Omnia!

atleast for me! after using Xperia, im just in love with it!

-
third party Divx also must be available for Winmo!

well i was confused between the two so i checked out myself both Xperia and Omnia thoroughly... Omnia does have pretty smooth features itself... like
1. touch pad mouse -> i can live without it!
2. 5mp camera with a splendid feature of panorama -> am not much of a camera guy!
3. Divx -> meh...
there were many disadvantages as well...
1. No flip scroll touch in main menu and many other scroll places!
2. Stylus placing! WTF?
3. No qwerty!
4. front gives a look of iPhone (of which im bored)
5. battery life is less than Xperia (thats what the guy told me.. im still not sure of it)
6. Widget selector sucks!
and in the end i came to a conclusion that Xperia > Omnia!
-
Omnia > Experia, surely? Xvid/DivX support for one.
Xperia > Omnia... 800 x 480 screen res, qwerty, looks, built, google maps, panel interface > widget thing!

though Omnia is Divx certified but wot the heck... Xperia > Omnia !

-
You forgot the gorgeous 800x480 screen resolution on the Xperia.
Definitely a better buy than the Omnia.
yeah i know... i deliberately forgot many things just didnt wanted the list to become never-ending....
another thing IMO is the touch reception on Xperia > Omnia... in Xperia yu can even flip through a scroll list... in Omnia yu cant do it in places where its most important. For eg. in main menu... Xperia's touch reception does not surpass the likes of iPhone, but it definitely is good enuff! it was way better than my expectation!
though one thing a liked about Omnia was its touch pad mouse feature! and it works flawlessly! its the only feature that i wished was in Xperia too!
-
ok i've made up my mind... i'm buyin Xperia X1... i scrutinized as much as i could on my level between Xperia, Omnia and 5800.... 5800 went totally out of question the moment i used it... it was btw Omnia and Xperia... and Xperia took an edge (and so it will on my pocket) over Omnia regarding the following...
1. qwerty keyboard.
2. looks... steel silver

3. google maps... just found out the importance of it for me!
4. stylus... not that i use it often, but atleast it should be in its right position!

i think i've made the correct choice... rite?!! both are WinMo 6.1, so hardly matters.... Xperia is a bit hefty on yur pocket... but i figure its all worth..... now only if i could squeez out a lil more money in coming days, i'll be all set for this phone!

-
Stylus slot

well THAT totally swings my decision!

TBH, i just fell in love with Xperia after i saw it today! Omnia on the other hand was awesome but didnt really impress me in looks (only in comparison to xperia)... Xperia's display and Qwerty is a big advantage for me.. plus im not even interested in 5mp of Omnia! i think i'll havta cash in some reserves from somewhere if i wanna buy xperia! man its expensive!!
-
^
1. Xperia is too expensive.
2. Leaving the price... apart from the display, what is in Xperia that should make someone dump Omnia??
i really need to buy a phone,,, 5800 is no longer an option! its between these two and i need help!!

-
any idea regarding OMNIA's price ??
-
^ Run towards an iPhone for rescue.
ive used enuff of it! my bro owns it for quite a while now and even ive got an iTouch! TBH, im bored of it! i was optimistic bou 5800 but its just depressing!
BTW, hows OMNIA?? if anyone can fill in an impression!

-
but it is cost effective
quality > cost! atleast for me! i was so optimistic about this phone and its an uber disappointment!
everything is good except the touch interface! i wanted a new phone and had my eye on this one... but now im in a total dilemma!

-
^
leaving all the specs aside.... all that i know is that this phone has a shitty touch interface! now thats a heart breaker! :cry5:
