    I was initially gutted when Benayoun left us but to be honest he hasn't had as much time on the pitch with you'll and he is turning out to be a good loss for us in the longer run. Modric would be great because he will probably fit in easily but unless Harry can work some silly magic I don't see him getting out of Spurs.

    he is on a 42k p/w right now and chelsea is ready to triple that... who in the right mind would not want to throw in a fit!!

    In my time watching Porto and seeing how they operate, very few of their players actually welcome big moves unless a manager they really trust is taking them places. Although you are right 35.5 is a bit too much to ask for a player like Moutinho but who is going to run fulcrum for them when he is gone? That would involve the club spending the time on a youth player and why would a club that just won the Europa League want to run that risk. You'd lose face, then your players get demotivated and finally you start losing more people than you have to. I think Chelsea need a stronger midfield because its showing signs of wear right now and I really wonder what your scout is looking at because papa roman must be getting all sweaty by now lol

    Lets just hope that Modric gets unsettled to a point where there would be no other option than to sell... If not, go for Pastore and hope Benayoun is up for the task because its highly unlikely that Pastore would settle in that quick!!

    We also need a quality winger... A successor to Malouda is imminent & I'm looking at A.Turan!!!

    Falcao would be a great signing and 26m aint that steep for his quality... But before his signature I'd see atleast one of Kalou or Anelka depart!!

    Moutinho is actually a lot better than he plays. I was a little disappointed that he didn't get too much face-time in the WC but when you see his distributive play, he is the kind of person I'd welcome at Anfield. He doesn't like keeping the ball too long and is more of an angular floor-passing player which is why he'd fit in great with someone like Suarez or his fellow countryman Meirelles. Sadly, we don't have a need for such a player right now. 35.5 might be too much but if you're losing a distributor and your top goal-scorer you will want to cash in for their loss and when a club like Chelsea expresses interest its always best to milk the cow :) so that if someone else shows interest you can jack the price up higher and not be left in the dust with lack of funds to spend on replacements.

     

    P.S. Congrats on the manager. Interesting season coming up.

    I haven't followed Moutinho much but he certainly can't be priced in the similar bracket as Cesc's... its just not right...

     

    Anyways, yes I'm excited by AVB's prospect as well... But, Chelsea squad right now is just not a championship winning squad... Manu & pool look daunting unless we sign up some quality ourselves....

    that could require a below knee cast for 3-4 weeks.Do you plan to continue with your vacation plans?

    i know.. but right now there's too much swelling so im on bed waiting for the swelling to settle.. then it'll get casted... 4-6weeks is what i've been told to recover completely but i'll be able to walk in 10-12days..

     

    & vacation is done... i can't trek mountains anymore.. hell, i cant take a step.. :cry:

    fell from stairs.. dont remember whether it got twisted or the base of 5th metatarsal hit the edge of the step.. found an xray on google which exactly matches mine...

    good decision .. i need that game for a friend who wants to play it for a while.

     

    go for FIFA 12 after 3 months and join the FIFA family. even though i support United i play with Chelsea :| just because of Essien and Drogs. and currently people who play with Chelsea are very few.

    Even I was getting it for a friend... I already have Fifa 11 and very less people here on IVG are on XBL... & generally its way too laggy to play with firangs... are yu on XBL or PSN??

     

    Mostly its like a game when friends are over..

     

    Even I play with Chelsea... Always with Chelsea... Exactly because of Essien & Drogba... And since January, I got Torres in too... :P

    be ready to shell some 500/600 extra than what you normally pay for a jersey here in India because of shipping and customs !

    messi barely missed 4 -5 matches last season .

     

    he s been playing over 50 matches every year since last 3 years.

     

    PL defenders todh dalte hai players ko . thats why dont trust pastore , sanchez until i see them playing here .

    Messi did clock over 50 matches but if I can remember correctly it was Jan when he got injured for them 4-5 matches!!

     

    And I can understand a lil' doubt over Pastore but Sanchez is a ready made for EPL... He is strong, skillful, quick, intelligent & he loves taking on defenders... that is exactly the requirements needed to succeed in EPL... Though, Man City will destroy his career if he happens to join them...

    messi has been injury free since the last 3 threes touchwood :wub: .He s a machine , playing almost every match :majesty:

     

    Pedro has been amazing the past couple of years .

    I dunno why you have a thing for sanchez and pastore .Sure they may turn out to be good , but I rather have a cheaper and well established in the PL modric and bale combo anyday .

     

    bale and cashley combo :wOOtjumpy:

    Malouda has been :ack: lately

    Messi was out for almost a month or more for barca due to injury in the past season...

     

    Why I have a thing for Sanchez & Pastore?? simmy yu need to start watching some Serie A... I used to watch Udinese & Palermo's matches just to see these 2 in action.. That Sanchez guy is something really close to CR7.. & young professional footballers having exceptional talent don't take much time to adjust to any league they enter...

     

    Bale & Modric wont leave spurs just like that... Especially Bale.

    Also, 35million for Modric is not actually cheap when compared to 39.5 million for Pastore.

    Dont see how either of them will be used in the barca team :unsure:

     

    They might as well shut up shop and wake up when the new season starts. They are already yards ahead of any other football team.

     

    A championship team never relies on a single tactic... any player can be adjusted by amending the tactics... fabregas can easily be deployed in an iniesta or xavi role, sanchez is a winger... every team needs a winger... he can unsettle pedro in a jiffy... and he'll be influential during messi's unavailability...
