    F.R.I.E.N.D.S --> 10/10 Love this...in my top 5

    Scrubs --> 8/10

    The OC --> never bothered to watch

    Seinfeld --> 10/10

    Prison Break --> for first 2 seasons 9/10 then 6/10 maybe

    Malcolm In the Middle -->8/10

    Joey --> 8/10 love joey

    Will & Grace --> 8/10

    Everybody Loves Raymond --> 6/10 i only like frank and marie...hate raymond

    King Of Queens --> 7/10.. there ware no plots/sub plots.

    Fresh Prince Of BelAir --> 7/10

    House --> Love this...in my top 5

    Arrrested Development --> 8/10 ...hilarious

    Couplings --> 9/10

    That 70's Show --> first 5 or so seasons was awesome.... 8/10 ... then it sucked...

    Lost --> i was lost after watching this... honestly. but yeah it was a quite a new direction in tv series for me

    South Park --> Never watched actually. planned to but..

    Dexter -> Got all, but havent watched yet. kinda put off by the genre

    The Sopranos -> Love this .....in my top 5. the production qlty is just amazing.

    According to Jim -> 6~7/10... No idea what the show is abt. Love andy though

    Fringe -> In the To be seen list.

    Hells Kitchen -> Love to watch in a time pass

    Anthony bourdain No Reservations -> Very foody show.

    The simpsons -> D'oh.. ... Love this...in my top 5

    The Office -> LOVE Mr Scott.Love this...in my top 5

    The Big Bang Theory -> Bazinga... 9/10.

    Chuck -> 4th season and he still whines a lot. kinda getting on nerves. but love this show.

     

    and there are quite a few more.. forgot what all..

     

    Firefly, west wing, battle star, the IT crowd, Physch and some...

    ahhh.. desktop PC's...

     

    after over 15 years... i bid good bye to assembled desktop PC's... finding parts... low balling price...assembling stuff..tinkering to get max...and pulling hair when all hell break loose...

     

    It was fun. I loved it. But nowadays.. i feel more lazier than before to try and fix the "issues".

     

    So moving to a laptop with 2 year complete cover, thanks to a very generous person. A god send for me.

     

    Now just a XFi card+Tuner left to sell.. after that adieu.

     

    I still remember how excited i was to get that XFi... I got it through the tyrant aman. I thght that would be with me for years and years... :(

     

    alas..people change.. priorities change... and I get lazy.

    Ohhh... didnt post it here right...

     

    Until last week.. the pc was working fine...

     

    the only culprit i found was the electricity itself. folks on E also concur the theory. coz almost all diagnostics came back negative. :(.

     

    Well i just moved to a new home..and slowly unpacking... by next week i will confirm this.

    I have few internal HDD's. And want to take a backup copy of all the data in it to DVD's.

    Total size may come to 5 or 6 TB's

     

    Is there any service or centre in india that does this for a nominal rate?.

     

    Any help is appreciated.

    Ok...

     

    so... I have removed my old UPS and connected direct to mains. No issues or hanging or anything.

     

    My APC 1KV was replaced 2 days ago and i have connected my PC to it. till 30 mts no issue.

     

    30mts ago.it gave a BSOD and restarted. During last 2 restarts, it hanged before showing the intel screen and once during windows load screen. i connected again to mains. no issue.

     

    what is going on?

    I am sure it's a hardware issue. Did you run Memtest ..?.

    Also, what about getting the HDD RMA-d ..??

    Edit: Oops.. Mis-read it !! :giggle: .. So you are guessing your UPS is underpowered ?..

     

    The UPS is WeP...

     

    I think the 2 year old stuff is getting .. old.

     

     

    The problem you're having has nothing do with UPS.

     

    Try to do few of the stuff I told earlier and see where the problem lies.And 600VA is more than enough for high end PC these days unless ur going for SLI, as GPU which takes the most power consumption have been made power efficient these days compared to my GPU 8800GTX which is a beast. :P

     

    I also have had lockup during boot up in the past , and the problem was a faulty HDD , second time one faulty RAM stick.So these two could be where ur problem lies.

     

    Err...

     

    On mains.. till now no issues, no freezing.. so it has to be UPS r8?.

     

    except the speakers buzzing and turning itself off during low voltage.

     

     

    Thermalright TRUE or CoolerMaster Hyper 212+ ???

    I am really confused between these two coolers which one to buy

    The Hyper 212+ Cost abt Rs 1950 and TRUE abt Rs 3400

     

    What is the max OC i can achieve??

     

    and which cooler to buy if i can afford both and is TRUE really worth it and whats ur take on this

     

    Should i choose Cheaper Hyper 212+ or Expensive TRUE

    My Config is

     

    Core i7 920 2.66Ghz

    EVGA X-58 LE Motherboard

    XFX Black Edition 850W Modular

    G Skill Tri Channel 6GB 1600MHz

    2x Sapphire 5870 in Crossfire Mode

    1TB WD Black Caviar

    Cooler Master HAF 922

    I switched my Dell Vostro Laptop's internal HDD to my brother's XPS lappy... I just put the HDD in the lappy and it's working fine for now. I'm using Win 7 on this.

     

    It took me a little while to install all the drivers and it looks like there's no problems as of now except for the fingerprint reader.

     

    Is there anything else I have to check or fix to make it work without giving me errors later ? The configs of both laptops are completely different

     

    Usually in a HDD switch.

     

    1. Check OS

    2. Check Drivers

    3. Check settings like page file, restore, any seperate path lookups like extra pgm file directory

     

    guys need help about config,iam thinking to get amd phenom 2 955 or 965 be

     

    price deffernce is 1k between these two processar and i wont be getting intel core i5 750 model,alreday have good mobo setup for amd,need to spend 6-8k for new mobo on intel,plus benchmarks are equal for both.some games go with intel some with amd,and also new x6 1055t which costs 1k more than 965, its performs slower than 955/965 atleast for gaming

     

    also want suggestion on graphics card right now iam using evga 260 gtx,thinking to upgrade with 5850. i play at 1920#1080 resolution.with my 260 gtx cant play new games with max settings.

     

    so if i switch to 5850,will there be 30 percent increase in fps while playing at high settings ?

     

    Hmm.. No idea abt amd proccy

     

    But card. go for the 5850. but 30% flat increase...i dunno if that is true everywhere.

    sh*t..

     

    The PC gain freezes....

     

    Any ideas folk?.

     

    It sometimes freezes in the intel screen during startup...during windows loading...and maybe while watching movies. If the speakers are on then it makes a long, loud "keeee" noise.

     

    I have connected direct to mains to eliminate the UPS. will update tmrw hw that goes

     

    The PSU is ModXtream 700W. that was the last thing i added, and couple of HDD's. Does the PSU coz any issues if it doesnt get enough power?. any way to check?

    URGENT : PC HANGS/WONT POWER ON/ONE OF HDD Makes a click noise when shutting down/One HDD reports a bad sector.

     

    Need help please.

     

    1. MY PC just hangs...just hangs during usage. nothing responds. even the num lock in KBB wont work. just like that.

    Happens during evenings. the UPS makes some kinda noises during startup. Its a 600va. and my PSU is OCZ 700W.

    And few times, when speakers are on, a thunder like sound comes and no sound from spks and PC hangs also. ?.

     

    2. After the hangup, i turn UPS off and turns the PC on. it just starts for a sec and shuts down???.. it takes 3 or 4 times to turn PC on.

     

    3. One of the HDD makes a sinlge audible click noise during shutdown.

     

    4. One of the HDD reports a Bad sector in event viewer. and it didnt detect properly yesterday.

     

    Any help??
