  1. around 6-7k

But you get a quad-core for 6-7k more!!!!!!!!! :wOOtjumpy:

It is enough to warrant that you purchase the Core i7 based model over the i5.

    Thank you guys.

I'll check it out at nehru place first, then i'll tell you about how it goes before buying it.

  2. The one with the i7

    Mobile i5's are dual-core w/ turbo boost

    Mobile i7's are Quad-core w/ turbo boost

    If said i7 has a "U",dont buy it e.g i7 4xxxU

The "U" suffix means ultra-low voltage, good for saving power, not good for gaming

    oh cr**, both have 'U's

    i7 4500U and i5 4200U

other options from dell also have 'U's.

  3. Regarding laptops, between Dell 5537 and 7537 which would be a better option for occasional gaming. I know laptops are not a good option for gaming but I need to replace my existing one and wouldn't mind if the new one was gaming-capable. I plan on playing games from last one year.

    Dell 5537 - 4th gen i7, 8 gb ddr3 ram, amd 8850m 2 gb gddr5, with optic drive

    Dell 7537 - 4th gen i5, 8 gb ddr3 ram, nvidia 750m 2 gb gddr5, no optic drive

ram is fully maxxed out on both, 15.6 in. screen on both

Considering my very limited knowledge about pcs, I can't make much out of these specs.

PC gurus!, your help will be really appreciated.
