    Congratulations for all the gta 5 purchases, i hope i'll get my copy soon :D

     

    Bought my 1st smartphone Sony Xperia SP. It's been 2 weeks couldn't post a pic till now. Thank you so much for helping me out in xperia sp vs lumia 820. :D

    I would pick SP

    On paper it does look better with bigger screen, hd display & 2370 mah battery.

     

    I'd go with the Lumia, esp given the fact that you gotta keep the phone for 2-3 years.

     

    I dont see many windows updates coming(apart from the 8.1, which this phone should probably get), whereas android gets a new mithai every 4-6 months, and you will not get all of them, hence making you feel you have an outdated phone.

    lol Yup, it already has the amber update & i hope Windows blue will be confirmed for 820.

     

     

    SONY XPERIA SP would be the better choice. Once out of warranty, unlock the bootloader and customise it till it goes into the sunset.

     

    Good point. Even though this would be my first smartphone, whenever i use android i find it a bit boring swiping screen left & right don't know why :ko:. Wp8 would be no different scrolling up & down.

    Due to my hate for sony I havent kept up with the market prices for it. How much does it goes for in retail and how much for without bill? Coz apart from the flagship 920, lumias lower model fare much better.

     

    Retail 23,499/- FK - 21,699/-

    Without bill i am not sure but 19k approx.

     

     

    21k mein I was willing to sell just out of box lumia 920 then too there were no buyers for it for a long time :rofl:

    21k for 920 & still no buyers :O:nerves: . I would have bought it :tongue:

     

     

    Anyone using WP8 kindly confirm the following

    1. Is there any delay in notifications for fb, twitter or whatsapp?

    2. Any difficulty in synching contacts from previous phone?

    3. Apps aside, any major issue with wp8?

    Back with another query :harhar:

    i will be placing an order by tomorrow. Earlier i was confused between nokia lumia 820 & 720, now its between Sony Xperia sp & Nokia Lumia 820. I am giving it so much thought because this phone will be with me for 2-3 yrs.

    It is supposed to launch on 4th Sep, it will be a soft launch. So i would say Mid october is when you will see them in stores.

     

    Also about FK, they are pretty good. HTC one we ordered came in flat 2 days. Also i think you can ask them to refund the money to your card directly rather then in your wallet.

     

    I'll go ahead with FK then. Thanks a lot Athek. :)

    Bro, I would suggest if you have to decide between 720 and 820, go for 820. Just a difference of 3k, you get more ram, better processor and better camera. I agree 720 looks the best among all but still, 820 would be your best bet. :)

     

     

    Also niks, if you are buying lumia series, get it from flipkart. Its giving the best offer compared with any local vendor. :)

     

    Agreed. Maybe 820 will be better in the long run.

     

    Yup, the offers from FK are tempting. After reading few complaints in the flipkart review section, am a bit skeptical placing order online. Few reviewers claim that Flipkart cancels the order in 5 days & refunds the money in their wallet after prices have increased. Thus forcing the customer to reorder the product at a higher price.

    Will be switching to my 1st smartphone from Nokia 5310 xm by tomorrow (hopefully).Just like insane_killer, I am confused between Nokia lumia 720 (18k) & 820 (21k), Tried both mobiles at croma (out of stock) few days back & even the 520, Ui was smooth on all 3 and the experience was almost the same.

     

    Would 512mb ram of 720 affect my usage in any way? The phone will be with me for at least 2-3 years. Anyone who owns either of the devices kindly give a short review. Below is the spec comparison.

    New or old games doesn't matter, there are some great games on the psp that i want to play. My friend is selling a used psp 3004 for 3k-4k, i might get that.

    I just wanted to know which one would be better.

    Hey guys, am planning to buy a psp. I am confused between psp 3004(wifi) & psp e1004(no wifi), though i doubt i would find 3004 as it is discontinued. Please suggest which model is better.

    Also if someone can confirm whether there is any interlacing or ghosting issue in the 3004 model

     

    Do not suggest a 3ds or vita, can't buy due to budget constraints.
