This 6yr old thing is utter nonsense, trying to capitalise on the insecurity of parents who want to provide every extra edge to their child and fear being left behind. I prepped for 2 years, starting from 11th and I will never recommend starting any sooner.

Now only if all the PC component manufacturers start thinking this way and start printing "AC" as a requirment on their boxes and asking for a proof of AC for warranty claim.

Honestly, this worries me. In India, it will certainly hit north of what GamersNexus recorded. I am not sure what Sony will do about it, they can undervolt the memory modules but with Ryzen, that might result in a performance drop. Maybe they will add some contact points with the heatsink for the lower module but that will be possible in the further batches only.

Latest update was only for 4k 120 and eARC. Next update, stated to release somewhere around Dec end will provide VRR and ALLM. So the update will come and just a matter of when, Sony is waiting for certification by HDMI admin. Also I personally haven't received 4k 120 update on my TV yet so might take a while before it comes to all units.

SD/HD content is anyway upscaled to 4k by the TV, doesn't matter if the box does it or not. The DTH providers are just providing features i.e. you can have an all in one system. Nothing more than that.

DTH quality? No. 4k refers to it being capable of displaying Netflix/YouTube/Prime in 4k, not that the channels are displaying 4k content.
