Personal Training / Fitness Counseling thread
KunjanPSD replied to HundredProofSam's topic in General Chatter
Ahh, it's been 6+ months since I last went to the gym. Was on a pretty good trajectory back then but at home, I just lost the track. Back then I was deadlifting 160kgs, lol might not be able to hit even 100 now. -

That isn't how it works buddy. Depending on your goals, one should increase protein per pound of body weight like 1gm/lb or 2gm/lb. And then rest of your calories are divided in fat and carbs. You'll be surprised to see that almost 40% of your total calories will be coming coming from carbs. If you keep high protein and very low carb diet, you will go lean. But you will definitely lose strength and also low carbs directly affects your wellness. Also, in such a diet, your duration and intensity of workout is very important because you might feel like your workout is tiring you but that will be because of loss of carbs, protein will end up getting rejected by the body. -
Been seeing too many reports of games crashing on Ps5, even from legit people. Also the rebuilding storage and rest mode issues. Xbox also having its own set of issues. Anyone thinking of getting one from Dubai or somewhere, probably should wait a bit.

I actually read somewhere that Apple only cleared the new Mediatek processor in the H series for their app, not the old one in G series. But I wouldn't but it past Sony to bring it as a feature for only the H series.

They already made this exact statement a month before. They only regurgitated it again for the public. What a half-baked response.

The Xbox Series X|S thread

But isn't the same logic valid for 20-30% advantage XSX has in terms of GPU? With next gen games with much higher fidelity and complex level design, especially the games 3-4 years down the line when developers will be milking every drop of performance from the systems, that advantage can certainly stretch for more than 3-5 fps. Honestly, we can't just assume till the time we actually see the games performing. Both Ps5 and XSX have their strengths and both will use them to their advantage. Too early to call anything. -
I guess you are confusing the 50/60 Hz AC frequency, has nothing to do with the refresh rate. And I am not really sure about direct replacement, but call the guy anyway and give it a try. Tell him that Sony guy told you to do that for quick resolution.

Since this issue seems to be isolated to DTH, just change the HDMI cable and check. Do you have any other source? Like use the same cable to connect a laptop to your TV using the same HDMI port and check if the problem still persists? A faulty cable can certainly cause this issue. Get any decent cable, be it Belkin or Amazon Basics, they will all work fine.
-
I am fine if it's with official warranty. From Delhi as well.
-
Yeah, I meant PAL units not from India. And I am fine with waiting.
-
Nice idea but given that videos of broken/not working Ps5/XSX are already up, does it make sense to buy it without warranty? PlayStation no longer provides the option to get the console replaced for 50% price anymore.

Amex discount gets applied automatically or need to do something first? -
Honestly, 55" TV is not that heavy. But in my case, one guy came and asked me to lend a hand to prop it up on the mount. Rest he did himself, taking care of not letting the dust go everywhere & using a level.
-
Anything above 49", expect to pay 800. If you have their personal number, call LG service guys and ask them to do it themselves and not as a service provided by LG, probably will cost 500 bucks, otherwise call the official LG service line.
-
Only one guy will come probably and after he is done with the installation and has checked that you are okay with the state of the TV, he will be happy to leave. You can do the setup yourself. Though he will probably try to sell you few "NEW 4K HDMI" cables for your tatasky or whatnot, lol.

Online Shopping : deals and discussion thread

Taking advantage of a Price glitch doesn't break any rules or regulations. As a customer, we wait for the best price possible & when the retailer reduces the price of a item (willingly or not), we simply buy it. There is no way for us to tell with 100% confidence that it's an error, we are just assuming. What you are doing, is deliberately going against the rules & regulations and trying to game them. Delivering items which amount to less than the minimum, actually ends up putting the retailer at a loss straight away. So you are basically trying to cheat and game the money from their hands. Don't try to advocate with nonsense like some will do it for 60 while others will do it for 1000. I don't see anyone doing this but you. The "hard earned" money you are trying to save is causing someone else to lose theirs. Also at the same time you will make them tighten their rules further for all of us, even in case of genuine mistake like not allowing cancellation at all or stringent refund policies. So stop trying all this. -
Is there any video of HZD running on Ps5 via back compat? Really wanted to see how that game benefits.
-
Lol. This explains everything.

Bro, let me tell you in simple words, again. Company promises you a min performance threshold, anything above that is your luck. Don't base your buying decisions on some perfect example you found on reddit. And these are not age-old issues, it's just how the tech works. It's just physics. Just like OLEDs will always be susceptible to burn-in, LCDs will always have DSE. I mean, I am not sure if you went through RTINGS properly before buying. And no matter the regional price, for the company it's still mid-range. It's like saying my 4-5L car has tolerance issues and is not responsive enough but because it's a huge amount, I shouldn't have to compromise. No compromises experience is only provided in the top end and that's x95H for you. No one is letting these companies roam freely if the problem is really widespread and genuine. I know 8-10 guys who bought this TV and are really happy with it. If your TV is really bad, then get it replaced. Sony will do it for you but you are just expecting too much out of a product.
-
That's what I am saying. Klipsch have a decoder and amp built in. But doesn't mention anything about any formats.
-
Bro, I think you are expecting too much from a set which isn't even the flagship of its own range. Company guarantees you a min level of performance, anything above that is lottery. Happens in CPUs, GPUs and almost every other tech out there. And alignment and the surface can definitely affect a device's performance. Get it replaced if its that bad but you will see these lines on any LCD out there. Don't believe what some redditor says.
-
Klipsch R-41PM have an inbuilt amp, but I can't find at all if they support DTS/Dolby or not.
-
Ran the test on my TV. And around 40% I do get some banding but not to a level that it degrades my experience. Post 60% they start to reduce. This is in line with what I expect from an LCD. With individual quadrants or dimming zones, you will definitely see some dimming at their edges. As the brightness increases, they will begin to fade away. Went through Reddit as well, all of them have equivalent banding. I can't expect a TV to perform any better unless it's an OLED or costs much more. I can't make it out from your pic, your flash and camera is working to highlight the black more. It's upto you, if you find it bothering or not.
