Need suggestions for buying a microoven. Gonna gift it to my brother, a family of two.

Currently using a LG one, but whenever i heat something, for e. g. rice, it becomes hard. Its a convection one. Any solution for that?

Convection just means it has a fan at the back to keep the hot air circulating and it's only used when you put it in oven mode i.e. set the temp.

I assume you are heating the rice for way too long, just put the cold rice for 30-60s on microwave auto and it shouldn't be hard.

Also, I have been using Samsung for years now and honestly they are the if you want a microwave oven combo. I don't have a model for you since they release one every 4-6 months but depending on the size, any one in the range of 12-18k would be good. Will perform great in both Microwave and oven mode.

  2. Guys, does anyone know of a reputed Mobile Repair Shop in Delhi which does repair for Google phones and uses original parts? Seals the phone back up properly?

The USB C port of my Pixel 2 XL got damaged, doesn't always charge and shuts the phone down. I don't wanna send it to B2X because they will take 10-15 days and in my experience will try to charge me for either a motherboard replacement or a back glass because that's just their whim. Please help, it's urgent.

10 more fps in AC Odyssey because 12 threads is also a very minor thing, comparing to neck-and-neck performance in every other game but still people are shilling ryzen like crazy.

Don't know what this new bullshit trend is with cost cutting by these companies some don't have an igpu on the processor, some don't give a cooler with the processor ::roflroll:

    https://www.techspot.com/review/1885-ryzen-5-3600-vs-core-i5-9400f/

literally the difference is whether you want igp or 12 threads and more performance on AC Odyssey and the other 2 games like that.

People on the internets also say that the Ryzens are "future-proof" because more cores duh but then they said that for the FX 8350 from 2012 also :giggle:

Dude, Idk what logic you are getting at.

Ryzen 3 doesn't need X570 and many of the B450 motherboards out there support it out of the box. I think you have been keeping up with a wrong YouTube channel.

And they are readily available, just go on the internet or your local store and you will get it easily.

There aren't any boot issues in any of the systems I have seen and you certainly will keep all of your hair.

Also, what's the problem in getting "10 more fps" in AC Odyssey and some games while absolutely crushing Intel in workstation tasks? It's future proof as in, the games will get only more demanding in future and an Intel processor which isn't able to compete today, will not be able to put a better performance in the future as compared to Ryzen. More and more games are taking advantage of more cores and threads with every update.

Hardly anyone is gonna run a cpu of such specs without a gpu and saying that it doesn't have an igpu is like saying I won't buy a better performing Mercedes because they removed the reserve option from it or give fewer spare tires.

There is a reason why every reputed tech YouTuber recommends Ryzen. It's not about sheer performance, it's about bang for the buck.

If it had that many problems, they wouldn't have recommended it.

For Radisson, Zomato is not worth it.

There's a Radisson membership available where you get 50% off on total bill everytime you visit - unlimited uses (25% for 4 or more)

And plenty of free mocktails, cocktails, buffets, one plus one coupons, free cakes and a stay as well anywhere.(limited quantity but plenty)

It's not about going exclusively to Radisson. I don't think he even meant it that way.

The membership you are talking about costs way more than what Zomato Gold does and for someone who is going there once in a while for a dinner that membership makes no sense.

He meant to say that it's one of the good options and makes back the sub fee in one go.

someone has given u a wrong info, the device which I bought is with Facetime & I am upgraded to iOS 13.3 without any issues

I was talking about the UAE version as naturally I thought that's the default one which will be available in most of the places. US versions of iPhone are also available which you got but I didn't seem to find from an authorized reseller.

You can get FaceTime unblocked devices in dubai. Besides, not everyone uses it.

I was there 2 weeks ago and the devices which were available with FaceTime had a caveat of being stuck on ios 13.1 forever. This was told not only by the official retailers but also the retailers which were selling the unblocked devices in Computer Plaza and other places.

But if someone doesn't use it, the lesser price is attractive.

Saves money but we end up eating at poorer quality restaurants because of gold.

Most very good restaurants aren't on gold and dont need to be.

    Don't know about alcohol.

I can't agree with poor quality, I live in Delhi and there are options in Khan Market and other places which offer really good food with good quality. Mileage may vary where you live.

And for alcohol and non alcoholic beverages, it's equally awesome.

I don't understand how is Zomato Gold is bad for anyone who eats outside. Even with limited restaurants my one time 2+2 on Jager bombs cover my yearly sub fees, anything above that is great.

We have got used to too much of freebies.

Exactly, I recovered the cost in 2 visits just by food. I live in Delhi and honestly have some great options here.

  9. I got Zomato Gold a couple months ago only, the options may be less but there are a few restaurants which I frequent and they still are on gold. I made my sub fees back in 2 visits.

Also, their new dine feature saved me a few bucks.

It's not as good as it used to be, I guess now it's only for people who use it again and again on the same restaurants.

Swiggy on the other hand has been saving me money, it may add delivery and restaurant charges but I always pay equal or less after applying offer or using some UPI.

Can't complain even if I am getting stuff for the same price as dine in or MRP but getting it delivered to me.

    Guys

How to lose fat without losing Muscle.I am kinda getting frustrated here.

When i eat less i lose fat, muscle and strength ,when i  eat more i get big along with fat .

    I also tried cutting carbs,.

    Run, run, run, run.

To say in simple terms, do 80% cardio and 20% weights to maintain muscle mass.

Keep your diet high in protein, obviously.

You can't have both without exercise.

Anyone here has any knowledge/experience on a Trip to Vietnam. To and fro flights are cheaper than what I imagined them to be. Considering it for my next trip.

1.) Basically you should plan to arrive in Hanoi, try local food standouts and beer (if you partake), especially you will tons of pho outlets.

    2) Then you can hit Sapa, it's a bit hilly area and used for agriculture but if you go at the right time, you will be able to see an awesome view, can also trek.

    3) Followed by Halong Bay, think of it as a cheaper version of Phuket but still quite beautiful.

    4) Follow down the coast to Hoi An, a bit of central Vietnam and you will find a lot of tourists but everyone being jolly, can check out Nguyen market.

    5) End in Hoi Chi Minh city, it's a metropolis so just to experience vietnam.

You can skip Sapa if you want and go to Phu Quoc Island after you visit Hoi chi minh, spend a couple of days by the sea. But again, keep in mind that you need to end near airport.

Most of the tourists go from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh. So you can do it the other way around and save time on transit.

Plus economy is in our favour over there, so everything will be cheap and for the price, it will be damn good.

@Keano - thoughts on USA tour?

Planning to land in Chicago (friend lives there). From there we plan to go to Orlando (car trip) while stopping in Indianópolis -> Nashville -> Atlanta -> Orlando.

2nd week: Chicago to Vegas (flight) -> LA.

3rd week: pending at the moment.

I want to visit NYC but friend said it is just tourist trap and crowd. Nothing more. Your thoughts if you been there?

Any other places/cities that are must visit?

I would recommend you to go and spend atleast a couple of days in NYC. It might be a concrete jungle and it might get crowded but it has a certain aura and energy, especially if you end up catching some gig in times square, or walk/cycle throughout the city while hitting every famous pizzeria for a slice.

And in this weather you will find that energy doesn't die, you should really go there.

I doubt they are available anywhere else popularly and don't think this is that.

Also they are size of our smaller fingers.

These are Indian Anchovies called Mohurali/Mahurali.

You can easily find them in any local fish market in Delhi, I assume that's the case with most of the areas. People buy them by the lot for frying and eating them whole.

They are very rich in Iron and Zinc especially and taste great.

Only for some multi core-wh*re games like Asscreed in Greece, Asscreed in Egypt, Metro Exodus etc.

if you can wait for 4-5 months intel will release i5 10600 series which will have same 6 core/12 threads as the current ryzens.

one issue with ryzens is there are no integrated GPUs, so if your graphics card dies you won't get display of any kind on your monitor

This doesn't make sense, this way he can wait another 4-5 months on top of it and get Ryzen Gen 4. There is a reason why reviewers don't utilise future claims.

Again, Ryzen not having integrated gpu in case your gpu dies is a very small subset of scenarios. Acc. to this logic no one should buy Ryzen.

Ryzen over Intel if anyone wanna build a multi purpose rig today.

its upgrade time, psu dying :P

Guys, suggest me a cpu, good and reliable psu and mobo and 16gb ram and a gpu.. Budget around 50k. 1080p60fps gaming.

    @Joe Cool @ALPHA17

Assuming you have a cabinet, fans and storage

Ryzen 5 3600, MSI B450 Pro-VDH Max (You can swap in any decent B450 mobo), Corsair Vengeance 3200 16gb, Corsair VS450 PSU (spend more if you want a higher wattage one) and 1660 Super (Or search for a cheap 1660t, not much performance difference though)

Will set you back almost 50k.

Both Ryzen 5 3500 and 3600 have 6 cores but I personally would prefer 3600 as it has 6 extra threads and will perform better in other computing applications.

But if you want to incorporate some other components or want a purely gaming rig, then 3500 will work well for you.

For case, Antec NX600 works well but CM has good options too.

Pay the trainer? Is that not included in the gym fee? Can you join the gym, and not have to bother with a trainer at all?

That way I could just go and just use the treadmill and the elliptical thingy without someone dictating what I need to do. At least in the beginning.

Gym fee is for using the gym services and having someone who can give BASIC advice and spot you while lifting heavy weights.

They have to spot many people and hence can't help you specifically unless you pay for personal training which can range anywhere from 5-12k a month or even higher depending on your gym. PT does help but only consider taking it if the trainer is good and you are serious about it.

If you don't want any interaction, the floor trainers will be more than happy to let you do your own thing.

But basic advice will help you a lot because people don't even know how to do push-ups properly. I see so many people doing 20 push-ups in the beginning and flexing hard but not being able to do even 5 the way it is supposed to be.

So take the advice when you need it or are unsure and do your own thing otherwise.

Oooh I've been wanting to join the gym for some time now but I'm always intimidated. A friend of mine who goes to the gym quit after 2 weeks cus supposedly the trainer was really medley and made him do random exercises whenever he wanted to.

Is it okay to go the gym but not lift weights? I just wanna go get a bit tired and get my heart racing thats it.

Every trainer is like that, they won't help you unless you pay them, they are there to make money.

And in the starting everything will seem random.

People don't quit because of the trainer, that's just an excuse. They quit because they don't have the will power or the dedication.

You can always change trainers and gyms, there is no lack of options.

You don't have to start with heavy weights, you won't even be able to. Start with cardio and with 2.5kg weights, or atleast start with cardio.

But do it asap, you will regret in future if you don't.

Thanks for the fast reply man much appreciate it, i will plug the Xbox one controller and charge on the console with the cable given with the kit. Also i will connect it to play on pc with the same cable will there be a problem there or is it safe.

With your assurance I'm going to buy it for sure just need to know the PC connection part

The amps and voltage depends on the device you are charging from. Cable is just a medium to transfer it.

PC's usb port will in no way offer enough juice to fry the controller, even if it's a fast charging one.

Also, the motherboard's usb port will provide the same output wherever you use it in the world, the power is already converted down via your PSU and motherboard power delivery.

    Use it however you like.

    There will be no problem.

I have a relative coming from australia, If i get a controller for PS4 or an xbox one plug and play charge kit from there will it cause any charging trouble or voltage trouble to the console or the controller here in india as our voltage is different

DS4 and Xbox Plug&Play kit charge via Micro USB, so until you are using a charger which is rated for the correct output or just charge via console, there won't be any problem.

Plus Australia uses 230v and almost all of our Indian devices are rated for 220-240v, so almost any charger will work.

I personally have never experienced my DS4 going dead while charging from any phone's charger (OnePlus 7/Galaxy S9). So unless you charge it via some charger made for Ipad or something, you will be good to go.

I'd be happy to do even that lol. but yes, I get the point. Plus Id rather be honest and upfront about this. If my friend ever gets into trouble I'll put it up here lmao.

Side Note- He changes cars every month or two. He went from a Fortuner in August, to an Endeavour, an Isuzu Pick-up truck, a Gypsy, and a now a Hyundai Venue. The whole affair smells fishy to me now lmao. But if somebody asks him, he just says Im rich and his dad is into cars lol.

I don't think he is getting tax credit on those cars. In this case, he is just rich and his dad in into cars.

My accountant doesn't allow me to claim credit even on items that are being used purely for Business like cellphones, printer laptop cuz in business taking input credit is not the end and whatever input credit claimed by you has to be paid by an END customer. All business deal with a certain products having a HSN code. If there are too many items being frequently bought outside your regular HSN purchase it will surely come to the notice of the dept.

Like I deal with products that fall in hsn 7303, 7307, 8481. If I regularly purchase products outside this and if the govt is tracking my sale purchase using HSN then such activities will attract scrutiny.

Businesses anyway transfer GST to end customer. If you don't take tax credit, the same tax is carried over more than once to that customer.

I mean, tax credit was one of the reasons that prices of many services went down.

And you can easily claim credit for the devices you mentioned. Lol, companies take credit for 2-3 Lakh MacBook Pros even if they are overkill because the status is necessary for the business.

You just have to justify if the scrutiny comes up, so even though drones and cameras might be difficult to explain. Laptops, printers, mobiles are easy but need to have enough turnover to justify that 2-3 Lakh high end devices.

  22. 18 minutes ago, Chirag2001 said:

Thanks a lot for the explanation. That clears it up quite well. Its good that GST is here to avoid the multiple taxation problem then :)

Yeah I guess so. I mean he bought stuff for personal use- A camera, a drone, and the new iPhone 11 Pro lol.

But in this case, if its not adding to the end product of the business, sure the guy is lucky but isnt this a form of avoiding paying tax on something that should have been taxed?

Well, that's upto how thoroughly the tax authorities audit the details. There is only so much you can do.

Plus this is credit, you don't get this discount upfront. So govt. earns a bit through the interest via their investments. It's a complicated game and that's where CAs come in.

  23. 35 minutes ago, Chirag2001 said:

Okay. As far as my friend goes, his dad is a business man with a family run business I guess so he could probably do that. But regular working people cannot claim this GST reservation? He never said anything about it having to do with the business thing. He was like "How come you dont use it?" So thats what I was wondering....

Also doesnt this apply for any kind of end product? If a freelance person lets say buys a laptop to use for official work and then at the end of the year pays his GST on whatever he earned through his freelance projects, doesnt that cover the GST on his laptop?

    Lol, no.

Working people work as employees. They are providing their service for an income and they paying tax on that said income.

And if a Freelancer wants this credit then she/he will have to register with GST but they will have to pay 5,12,18 or 28% GST on the value of goods/services they offer in addition to the income tax which they would have paid if they didn't term themselves as a business. Much of this tax is transferred over to the end customer but still the freelancer ends up paying more.

Only makes sense when your business is doing well and you need bulk input and hence Tax credit actually save you money.

Tax credit in GST is beneficial because in earlier service tax, it was applied on inputs and not final outputs. So same input used to get tax multiple times.

Also, GST registration requires atleast 20 lakh turnover.

So, I think your friend is just lucky to use his dad's business to get GST free stuff by showing that the device bought was required to create the end product even if it wasn't.
