Purchased some stocks today . Will keep on adding more as the situation develops . Investing in good companies with a long term view .

No matter how much market falls now - few years down the line it will definitely touch new highs .

    Stocks batao, stocks.

Hard to keep track of all the good opportunities.

Seriously though I feel for Ukraine but secretly I'm happy that my SIPs scheduled for next week might get cheaper to purchase. :fear1:

Tell that to my mom who started investing just 3 months ago.

Mutual Funds only, already in red, will get a shock tomorrow  Unko kaun samjhaye ki abhi hi lena hai.

Gas leakage in 2 years. Official samsung techs came, soldered, filled gas. Costed around 3k.

Had a leak again after 4 months (warranty was 3 months). Paid 3k again.

The cooling is also pretty f**ked up. We have the convertible fridge, 600 litres, and it wouldn't defrost properly. All the technicians who visited us told to not use the convertible feature, plus always set temps at average levels, not at min or max levels even if the options are present on the front dashboard.

Earlier Whirlpool lasted for 12-14 years I think, with no issues. We upgraded since needed more space, and Samsung was the only one giving a massive vegetable storage box.

    But never f**king again.

    This.

I haven't faced gas leak issue yet but Samsung convertible sucks and you have to put the temp. at maximum in relatively rainy season because it creates frost and the fan ends up making a knocking sound. By maximum I mean at 6-7° which is not ideal for food.

Samsung employees told me that's the only option and pretty much then stopped responding to my service complaints and then the warranty passed by.

My mom fell for the same, extra storage they provide otherwise LG was my choice.

Will never buy a Samsung Fridge.

Have had better luck with their ovens and microwaves.

Yes, if you read the fine print, you pretty much agree to your data being sold to track you in most applications and since most of the apps are daily essentials, it does feel like you don't have any choice. Facebook as a whole is losing its popularity globally, but it still creeps me out when I get see targeted ads. I'm using AdGuard on my phone buts its still not as good as the provisions within iOS.

Best experience is when you talk about something on WhatsApp and you see an ad about the same thing on Instagram just mins later.

Is is just me or is there not much of a difference between the plus and ultra in terms of the camera? Stuff like this confuses the decision to get which phone :ko:

    https://phandroid.com/2022/02/21/samsung-galaxy-s22-ultra-versus-galaxy-s22-camera-comparison-not-worth-the-upgrade/

From all the impressions I have been checking out, not much difference in camera.

Only battery backup, screen and S-pen.

Reviews for WF1000XM4 ? If anybody used them after XM3s, any substantial difference ?

How's the fit and comfort ?

I can get them for nearly 15k. Worth the price ?

    I have tried them both.

    Audio, not much difference.

Fit and comfort, quite a lot better.

Can't say if it would make sense for you coming from XM3s. That's upto how much you value the fit.

The HDFC offer is valid till Feb end.

I have to wait for the corporate approval for the phone to come in, so may not be able to order for a few weeks. I'm hoping to get it done before March 10th at least so that I can get the watch at 3K...

Yeah, that buds 2 offer doesn't seem as tempting now.

One of hte local retailer from Pune informed my friend that the Samsung Upgrade Bonus of 8k and the No Interest EMIs cannot be clubbed, its an either/or offer. I'm hoping this is specific to Samsung finance and we should be able to still avail a n0% EMI through our CC. Once you receive the Interest as cashback after 90 days, you can always close off the balance which will add a bit more to the savings

I don't need the Upgrade Bonus, I think that is applicable only if you exchange your old device. My current device is in a state that will fetch me nothing.

Just the usual HDFC/ICICI card discount/cashback will work well for me. Obviously will close the loan once cashback is received. Should be a no interest one if there is an offer at all but I am not sure because they do generally display the offer well before the pre-orders start.

There will be offers once pre-orders go up today. These offers are usually only visible at check out.

Yeah, I needed to buy a decent set of earphones for someone in the family so getting Buds 2 for 999 makes the deal better for me.

Just hoping for a decent 8-10k card discount/cashback.

This is correct. The only possible advantage which a smallcase might have is that it might rebalance to maintain ratio of Nifty 50 and Nifty Next depending on market conditions.

But again, useless coz it's quarterly and doesn't really impact that significantly.

In long term i.e. 7-10 years, that rebalancing will not amount to much alpha. Because you will have to pay brokerage fees and STT/LTT during rebalancing.

Just keep a constant 75-25 or 50-50 ratio of Nifty 50 and Next 50 throughout.

Also if the market goes sideways, like it did between 2010-2014 then rebalancing won't even creat an alpha.

  11. There is no point in using a Smallcase for investing in ETFs or Index.

You can't just pay a one time fee and let go of the underlying expense ratio of the Index fund or the ETF.

And Smallcases come in different forms. Some are free and you only need to pay once while some are subscribtion based. Mainly the popular ones are sub based which either charge you a flat amount per N months or just take a % of your profit/principal.
