I don't think LTPO is that much necessary. 90-120 hz phones have good battery life. Maybe it is will be a necessity in future but for now, it's a gimmick for me.

If at the end of the day, LTPO and non LTPO battery life is same. I don't see where LTPO helped.

By that logic a 5-10% improvement in CPU performance is also not noticeable and probably not worth the effort to ship in a $1000 phone.

What is the opportunity cost for the covid revenue?

I am not sure what you mean by that.

Capacity and capability was there with Divis anyway, if there wasn't any Covid business then the topline would have equally reduced.

It's not like they are giving up on any other investment to bring in Covid revenue.

Same for other companies too but obviously, getting the contracts for it is a different thing.

Divis got the contract because of their reputation. It's very well possible that some company can beat them on cost but the credibility goes a long way.

Covid revenue may persist but as we start hoping for the end of the pandemic, same will happen with this revenue stream.

Divi's is so consistent with its results. It is amazing to see. I have decent investment in it.

Devil is there in the details.

40% of the topline came from Molnupiravir (Covid drug).

Ex that, double digit reduction in YoY and QoQ numbers.

Now Covid revenue might persist for another quarter or maybe a few but this is a one off and not actual growth.

If Divis is finding it hard ex-Covid revenue then you really know how pressed API companies are right now.

    FY23/24/25 hopefully are better.

Solid results aren't able to push any stock. Aarti Industries, IRCTC, HUL etc are stagnant even after their excellent results which surpassed expectations.

Since I am fairly new and have only seen 2 results season so far. Is this common?

Common when the market sentiment is low or if the stocks have already run up before the results.

So yes, common. 2020/21 was an anomaly.

After 2 years of WFH and eating junk and cola, I am fatbulously overweight. 5ft 10inch, weighing 110 kgs :wallbash:

I eat less but still seems to not lose weight. I think my metabolism has gone kapoot.

Can any of you suggest a less harmful diet (Is Keto or Egg Diet any good)? I can do intermittent. And also suggest home exercises. I bought weights. kettle bells, pullup bar, and boxing bag for this.  I want to lose 30 kgs in 6 months.

You need to start tracking calories.

You can't ease into a weight loss regime, you gotta start Day 1.

You need to curb your intake around 1500 calories and that too with healthy food. Carbs, Protein and Fat in proportion.

I will suggest to be strict with diet and not just have anything you like, even in small quantities because that will naturally happen but that should be a compromise which should come naturally and not willingly. Because otherwise you will deviate.

With that you should start brisk walking/jogging for atleast 30-60 mins.

With this you should be able to see decent results in a couple of months. Post that you can adjust your balance.

If you can go to the gym then light weight and strength training should help but if you haven't ever been to a gym before, start with brisk walking.

  6. Solara's results have been shocking.

Looks to me that the same thing which happened to Strides, might repeat with Solara.

Thankfully I cut my position majorly months ago. Management says it will be an one off but I am not too keen on ex-Arun Kumar's companies.

Capability is there, execution is not. Same case with Neuland but Solara has much more deeper problems.

I hope Carlyle can do a turnaround with Sequent.

I never used it yet, but the price I saw for the 21 series was about 5% less on average.

As far as I know, Samsung employees get corporate discount throughout the year and they also get one coupon/year, which they can use for additional discount.

I am not sure about this though. Have a friend who works at Samsung, will check if I can get some decent discount.

Even then, 40k discount for Ultra seems like a stretch.

I don't like the S-pen, would have been more tempting if they kept S21U's body and bumped the specs.

Also S22/22+ don't have LTPO panel despite having 10-120hz range, so I am not sure how the battery will hold up. LTPO is only for Ultra which sucks.

what are your long term 10 years views on Met Platforms/Facebook?

Positive but I have reasonable risk appetite.

Users might have gone down but they are churning cash and full pedal on buyback.

Huge investment in R&D in Meta will decide the future.

Also, I think you should let your cousin plan and do his own investments.
