The gfx effects will be of lower quality in performance RT mode as compared to Graphics mode. It’s the same as Spiderman MM

I’ll be playing in Graphics mode. Currently playing RnC 2016 on Pro and 30fps - doesn’t bother me a bit but I am enjoying the higher resolution since my TV is fairly large

Oh yeah, in my case 4K is pointless as I have a rather small 1080 display. I played MM at 30fps on my base PS4 without issues 'cause Insomniac's 30FPS feels smooth thanks to good motion blur. I had hoped that performance RT mode would be just Graphics mode but lower rez so kinda disappointed to see that it makes some more compromises.

If you're working with Photoshop in a serious capacity I recommend doubling the RAM. Hell even tripling it will be good.

Photoshop and Compiling code both make heavy use of CPU. So get a good CPU. Ryzen 5000 series seems good enough for this.

Okay. So at least 16GB is recommended.

By Ryzen 5000 you meant the Ryzen 5000G series, which has integrated graphics, right? Something else to lookout for, like the number of cores/base frequency/TDP etc?

Graphics mode has higher scene density, better VFX, enhanced lighting and ray tracing. Not sure how it would compare with performance RT mode. I hope the difference in fidelity is not that apparent except the rez.

Any good suggestion for a good UPS to go with a 50” tv

    to save from Power surges

Curious, is that still a thing for TVs and other appliances? Aren't modern internal adapters reliable enough to protect themselves and even power surges of the kind which may ruin appliances are very very rare nowadays(at least where I live, in metro cities)? I'm ignorant on the topic.

  5. I'm interested in building a gaming PC, not right now but in the near future. Buying a pre-built one seems expensive and  it would be a good experience to try to build one myself. Total noob though.

Primary use case would be apps like Photoshop and heavy programming tools/IDEs like Android studio/Visual studio and other stuff. Gaming definitely won't be a priority as I already own a console (PS5). I currently do my work on an Asus laptop from 2016. It' showing its age. Investing in another laptop seems like a bad choice.

CPU :- Ryzen Zen2 with integrated graphics

    Motherboard:- ??

    RAM:- at least DDR4 8GB

Storage: at least M.2 NVMe 500GB

    Case : ??

    Power supply : ??

What am I looking at price wise?

Some tips would be appreciative. I understand building a PC right now is stupid because of the global chips shortage so for now this is just for reference.

Performance vs graphics mode? Which one is preferable? Playing as performance just like others but don't wanna know after playing that I should have played the other one like in GOW performance mode.

Performance is something like 1080@60fps(maybe 1440p), Graphics is 4K@30...so definitely performance mode.
