We already have Deepak chahar and Shardul thakur for that. Both can hit better than bhuvi. If bhuvi is fit by then he can also be drafted in. What i meant was ODI are least important in terms of outside of World Cup. T20 are most popular considering all the leagues and revenue it brings followed by Tests and then comes ODI. Obviously they won't be obsolete so soon. But, ICC needs to do something to generate more interest in them.

No. Never. ODI are dying. Look at stokes retiring from it. I expect more players to follow this. Rather get bhuvi back in tests. Only if he had played against England would be massive difference. The way he can move the ball both ways on a good length is a treat to watch.

Shardul is inconsistent with bat and his bowling honestly isn't good enough at top level. Axar can't play if jaddu does, sundar can't play cos we will play Chahal. They can only be injury replacements. Harshal can be a good option but I don't know how effective he will be in a 10 over bowling game. We do need batting options after Jadeja as Shami at 8 won't work.

Its obvious Kishan is groomed as an opener. Although i am not a big fan of his. I would prefer Shaw but somehow selectors have completely forgotten about him. Kl is doing great at 5. Why mess it up. Dk can never get back in ODI. No space and age isn't a plus for him. Iyer again sucks at playing pace and short balls. Unless he sorts it out he can't be successful against good teams.

Dhawan is done. Kohli is hanging by a thread which bcci can pull anytime. If kohli is dropped we should play KL at 5 and open with Kishan. If they still persist with Kohli then KL should open cos there is no other place left for him.

Absolutely. But like I said IPL is cash cow for bcci and they won't let anything disrupt it. Indian team performance is least of their worries. Sometimes I feel Lodha guys were actually good for Indian cricket cos since Jay Shah and Ganguly have joined hands our performances have gone downhill and controversies have risen a lot. I feel Sachin doesn't get enough credit. He was excellent in playing short balls. Not only he had great pull and hook shots but he started the trend of upper cuts against SA in SA against a world class bowling attack. And who can forget his famous hook shot against Andrew caddick or his Pull shots against Australia in Desert storm series. However after his tennis elbow injury he reduced pulling a lot. Rohit has to be the best player of Pull/hook shot in world cricket. His strength is pulling the ball on front foot which is highly difficult thing to do on a technical level. Shreyas is terrible against short ball. If he won't rectify it soon his career is gonna go away. Nice to see England humiliated. If Bumrah and others had played last T20 we would have won it for sure.
