    But there is no other batsman, KC posted that mayank is also Injured. 
    Mayank hasn't been confirmed out. Scans yet to be revealed extent of injury.
    I hope he plays cos Shaw/Saha are free wickets and if we have to play one I will go for Saha who can keep well cos Shaw can do nothing at the moment.

    Is Washinton Sundar with the team ? 
    We can replace him with Jadeja. Decent bowler.
    He's handy with the bat as well.. 
    He is. Might not even play if Ash isn't fit as Kuldeep is there. Otherwise Ash will be the lone spinner. Saini, Siraj, Thakur will definitely play and toss up will be between Natrajan and Kuldeep and Gabba being pacer friendly Natrajan may get a go.

    With Bumrah gone taking 20 wickets will be really tough now. Also, rain prediction so we must bat as long as we can forgetting all the run rate stupidity people keep talking about in a test match.

    It's a tough spot. If they play extra batter then with just 4 bowlers it's tough to get opposition 20 wickets and God forbid if one bowler gets injured it's game over. Umesh didn't bowl in 2nd innings last test and Jadeja in this one. We managed cos of playing 5 bowlers. Most probably Shardul will replace Jadeja and mayank will replace Vihari.

    Pujara
    Mayank (Replace Vihari)
    Rahane
    Pant
    Ashwin
    Shardul Thakur (Replace Jadeja)
    Natrajan (Replace Saini)
    Bumrah
    Siraj
     


    I am a firm believer of not changing winning combination unless player is woefully out of form or injured.

    So, I will keep Saini and rest of the squad I agree. Won't play Saha instead of Mayank like others suggested. Mayank is ions better batsman and as for keeping Pant will manage. We have to give him some leeway for few series otherwise he will never improve. Remember MSD didn't became MSD in a day.. he was quite raw when he came.

    We could have gotten out as well had we tried to win. There is no point dwelling into hypothetical situations. I am just happy that we didn't lose,
    I dotn think so. Batting pitch plus a positive attitude wins you matches. But ya, we all would have taken a draw when the innings started.

    I am pissed. Cos if Jadeja and Vihari were fully fit we would have won this and created history.

    I am happy. Cos not even in our wild dreams we would have thought of playing 130+ overs in the 4th innings of a test match in Australia to save a match with series on the line. Absolutely brilliant.

    Gill and Rohit gave the platform.
    Pant played an amazing innings.
    Pujara played a Pujara.
    Vihari and Ashwin should take a bow for the outstanding defenseive game.

    This has to be our best effort for a draw ever outside Asia.

    What an intense match. I wish I wasn't in office. CA and BCCI planned the 4th day to be Sunday and it's the 5th day which has been amazing. f**k IPL. Session like this is the most intense Cricket one can ever see.
    I seriously don't get this f**k IPL stuff.. what has that to do with this? If not for IPL you won't get a Ashwin, Jadeja, Pant, Bumrah talents.. people would still be holding on to their spots without performing.. look at the amount of bench strength we have accumulated and that's why even if we don't have 6-7 top players playing we are still competing well.. let's enjoy both formats without condemning the other..

    Australia has bowled too much bodyline this match, not sure why our bowlers couldn't return the favor, all of them can bowl fast. 
    They can. Only thing is Australian tail bats better so bodyline doesn't helps much. Also we don't have Ishant and Shami who are masters of short pitch bowling..

    Only if Jaddu was fit we could have chased this and created history.

    Next match we should play Pant as pure batsman and Saha as keeper.

    Jadeja out of the series. Next test match is at ganna so anyway makes sense to play 4 fast bowlers but our batting is going to get even more weaker. Pant seems to be fit to bat tomorrow / Monday
    Thought so. His injury looked bad in real time. I don't care anymore if we lose this series 3-1. With half of our original playing 11 missing it doesn't matter now.

    sh*t show, entire series batsman have let us down match after match. So now Australia will make 250+ and we will lose by end of tomorrow. 
    Are we really surprised?
    Kohli is our best bat. Unfortunately he ain't playing.
    Then comes Pujara
    Then Rahane.
    Rest have always been non existent.
    Gill looks solid but time will tell. Rohit we all know has done nothing abroad ever. Ashwin used to bat well now he is another Shami. Jaddu is the only one providing some runs down the order.

    3 run outs in a test match. These guys should be royally spanked for playing brain dead cricket.

    So if i order at shopatsc (They says its deliverable at my Pincode) but dont have any Sony centre around how do they deliver?
    I stay in Faridabad. Ordered the PS4 controller during lockdown from shopatsc. Sony center is 500 metres from my home but they didn't have one in stock so the Lajpat Nagar Sony center which is around 26 km from my home sent someone to deliver it at my home. So, I guess I you have one in around 30-40 km area they will deliver otherwise courier. Also, they gave me the option to come and pick it up if I needed it urgently.

    Pitch seems to be flat, no spin no swing. I think we have them at least 50-75 short of what would have been a good 1st inning score. Lets see if we can manage to get some advantage in the first innings. 100 Runs Lead would mean we can win this test on Day 5 otherwise its heading for a draw. 
    Pitch changed a bit in last hour with some uneven bounce. With a light roller in morning and some sunshine hopefully it settles down for batting..

    Gill was brilliant and Rohit looked comfortable till he played that shot.. was hoping one of them makes a big one.. all on these 2 now..

    Overall I will still consider this India's day..

    Same. Sony ads are annoying af.

    Great bowling today. To get 8 wickets for 132 runs is brilliant. Smith was fantastic. Rahane missed a trick when he brought jaddu in attack first time in 43rd over. His 4 wickets today shows he should bowl sooner. And Smith run out was fantastic as he wasn't looking to get out any other way.

    Hopefully Rohit and Gill can build up on good start.

    Time to maybe try Kl rahul or sanju samson? India needs a permanent keeper now. 
    Well, KL has failed in tests time and again and he can't keep for 100+ overs straight. He isn't a specialist keeper. And Samson can't buy a run in white ball at international level let alone in tests. Need to pick someone who is good with gloves and good with bat in tests from domestic. Maybe try Ishan kishan. Till then musical chairs between Saha and Pant will continue.

    2nd one was hard. 1st was a dolly.
    He really needs to work on keeping. Cant drop catches, specially on a flat pitch like this.
    Pant is a mediocre keeper but good test batsman. Sahe is a brilliant keeper but medicore test batsman. So, it's a shitty decision who to play. Hopefully Pant makes a 50+ to wash away his sins [emoji6]

    Was expecting Natarajan to Debut instead of Saini. May be in 4th Test

    Wouldn't have been fair to Saini who was the first choice backup when series started. Don't see Natrajan getting a game. Even if Saini performs real bad Thakur is being preferred over Natrajan.

     

    Personally I would have played Natrajan as left arm pacer who can swing the ball is really helpful and Aussies struggled against Wagner so.. anyways.
