I have already played Black Ops, but only SP. Liked it! But If you were talking about MP, then, no! I didn't play Black Ops MP.
OK! I still didn't buy any game! Been watching many video comparisons and....Halo 4.....I don't think I will like these futuristic games! Was never a fan of this genre. And coming to BF3, it looks the same as BF4, visually. Only reason why I am stepping back is I don't have a clue if people are still playing BF3. I don't care about single player as of now! I just want to quench my FPS-experience thirst, so, I really don't know which one to buy! At first the confusion was between BF4 and COD and now b/w BF3 and 4. Now all I can do is watch some reviews, comparisons and read your comments! Am all ears!
if u dont want futuristic games then buy bf3 inmo from a store that too pre-owned or buy from our ivg tp itself

I would not advise him on halo if just for a month & playing fps mp first time
That game has huge learning curve over others
Though if he plans to buy destiny on launch he can practice on halo
