On an totally unrelated note, the TV met its demise the very same day on reaching Ghaziabad where it was kept on bed wrapped in a bedsheet and one idiot rushed in the room & sat on it. There it rests in pieces :giggle:

and now his body is buried under the newly constructed local police station?

I guess ill just rent an eeco cargo van and sit with hired help to hold the TV. Distance is only 31km, roughly a 1hour drive. Seems like a safer option than packers and movers.

Also f**k these companies to make the oled tvs so thin, loosing sight of practicality over aesthetic.

i think as long as you use the original packing, you should be fine with bringing it in through a tempo also.

Tried asking dealerships around if they had spare packing for a 55 inch oled for sale. Unfortunately none of them had one:(

Any suggestions on how I could safely move my TV from Faridabad to Noida? Was thinking of hiring Agarwal packers & Movers to move my stuff, anyone have experience with their TV packaging/handling?

APML broke mine. Mistakes that I made:

    1. Didn't use the original TV box for transport, which can withstand a lot more abuse.

    2. Didn't insure the TV at its full cost

    3. Didn't check the TV until 7 days after APML delivery

I have heard some other peeps having good experience with APML, though that's why I had chosen them in the first place.

There's Toshiba M550LP, 60Hz FALD panel and has VRR too. Going for 51K on FK. IIRC Toshiba uses panels from Hisense.

Personally using their Toshiba U79 series FALD, for over a year with PS5. Satisfied so far.

Yeah i had good experience with Toshiba too in the past. Not like Philips level of the good old days, but best among the mid-ranger TVs.

Btw, consoles require branded vrr support (freesync gsync) or anything with the words VRR will work?

Oh man. The M1s are crazy good in that department.

I'm on the verge of buying M1 Mac mini. How easily can it handle Fuji raw files?

You have z6 also right? Raw from those would be huge too, innit?

I've an Intel Iris XE.

Topaz is sometimes restricted from accessing GPU due to heat (automatically).

I've tried on wife's M1. Blazing fast. Same task needs like 2 secs

dammit. Just when I am looking for reasons to avoid buying anything :fear1:

Give DXO PL5 a try. Even if you don’t use the U point tech, the elite version allows really cool split toning with silver/gold and other hues.

cool, will check. How much hardware these editors require anyways? I have a simple i3 laptop setup now. But I remember Photoshop would make even my old gaming laptop's fans to just kick in.

There's a 50% off on 1 year sub or permanent license for C1 Pro. Code JULYFLASH50

I dont do advanced editing. Just play around with color and exposure. I used to experiment on the C1 express, but now a lot of it happens on Snapseed  I know, blasphemy.

Edit: and honestly, I dont even feel like messing too much with Fuji colors. 90% of my pics are just sooc Acros or Chrome. #acrosisbae

I've never ever used a Canon. Always found the build quality to be toyish. R7 is APSC, right ?

Honestly worth giving it a try ? Can rent for a few days.

I'm using DXO PL5. C1 only has express edition for free. I don't think it does layers etc ? Does it do masking? The usual C1 went subscription like Adobe. Sigh.

yeah, naah. no layers/masking etc in Express version.

    Sony X80J.

Unfortunately, it just came and thanks to Amazon open box policy we found out the panel is damaged. So, delivery didn't happened and refund will be issued. First time I have bought a bigger electronic appliance online and the experience wasn't good. Seems offline as usual is better for this. Will delay the purchase now and will get something in Diwali sales.

    you got X80J 55" in 50K?

    Anyone using Hisense u6g for gaming ? Ps5 ?

Need recommendations for a budget 4k smart tv, ~45kish. Streaming content + ps5 gaming is priority.

    It's pretty good.

    Pros:

Blacks are deep. Contrast is great. Dolby vision looks excellent - better than HDR via the native app. I have the TV connected via Ethernet cable @100 mbps and Netflix, Prime video and Hotstar are as clear as running off of a Bluray player. PS5 games look amazing. No screen judder or anything.

    Cons:

Screen as reflective as OLEDs, so you need dark room to watch. Remote is crap.

Just saw the price on Amazon - 49k before discounts. I bought mine at 55k 3 months ago and still think it was a great price for this TV. At 49k, it's a steal. A no brainer at this price point. It's the best panel this side of 1L rupees.

PS: no 120 hz or VRR if that's in your purchasing criteria. But then, no TV under 50k has those 2 features afaik.

Nord 2 and 4a's camera are pretty good.

One+ cameras are above avg. But for someone who's buying criteria is camera, like bhpian mentioned, i would suggest looking at least at Pixel range. 4A is also great if available in cheap cost. But as I clarified, I'm assuming that he wants only new model. 4A is very good if old phone is not a problem.

Bad value. A52S and S20FE 5G are better at around that price from Samsung.

It is possible to get good camera under 30k. Realme 9 Pro+, Samsung A52S/M52/M53 etc, Oppo Reno etc.

Those are phones with decent cameras. They'll get job done in good lighting conditions. For someone who wants to buy phone mainly for cameras, those won't satisfy.

Buying a phone is getting frustrating. Cannot narrow down at all. So far shortlisted Motaloda G31, Redmi Note 11, Samsung M33.

Koi sasta sundar phone batau bhai please. Good camera and good screen is main criteria. Saste mein.

Sub-30k, impossible to get good camera. Sub-50k, pixel 6a is the best camera. Screen isn't top class though. Can look at Nothing phone as a good compromise. Camera is looking decent, though can't bear Pixel 6a.

My main issue with streaming services is that a lot of Tom DIck and Harrys have started their own "streaming" services. Since they don't have the infrastructure yet, their main market remains confined to one / very few geographies

Now quite a few shows that I used to watch are no longer available on Prime / Netflix and I cant even subscribe to these new services since they are not available here.

Case in Point - Star Trek is now available only on the new streaming, which is not world wide., Given how incredibly popular Star Trek is, this move baffles me

Here's something else in the baffling space - even supposedly established players like Voot, backed by big conglomerates, having enough money to pay 25K crores for IPL streaming rights dont have infrastructure to stream above 480P

    Looks good

Wow. I'm impressed. I mean imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. And you can't go too wrong when getting "inspiration" from the best 3rd Person action combat ever created. But the setting is looking just original enough to stand on its own. Hope it turns out to be one of those sleeper his.
