  1. Well because oxygen dissolved in water is less compared to land. Fishes adapt to it (explains their rapid mouth movement), others have to reach for surface every once in a while.

Maybe that prompted them to prefer the surface?

Absolutely correct, except for the last part.. organisms preferred the surface not because their was plenty of oxygen but because there was plenty to eat. And the bigger organisms (higher in the food chain followed).

  3. Scared my cousin last night.

I got up to get some ice cream last night around 2:45AM. My cousin was sleeping in the hall (where the fridge is) and as I opened the door of my room, I saw him going into the balcony (adjacent to the hall) where the bathroom is. I was reading this thread before I got out of the room and I decided to jump my cousin up.

It wasnt pitchblack in the hall, but it was dark enough to not be able to tell who or what is in front of you. I waited patiently behind the balcony door, and soon my cousin came back from the bathroom.

So, I was standing behind the balcony door, and as my cousin was closing it after coming back into the hall he saw me standing behind it.

I knew he was able to see me (or my structure to be precise), but he didnt know who was standing there. He stood there for like 10 seconds holding the door.. ABSOLUTELY STILL !!! I did the same.. none of us moved an inch for some time.

It was getting really hard for me to content my laughter and so I decided to do something.. I whispered some gibberish in a high pitched sharp voice, "Khaspas..."... and believe me he went, "AAAAAHHHHH !!!" and dashed out in the balcony.

I wanted to continue this, but my laughter gave in.. and I started laughing.. he came in and started cursing me.

I hugged him, apologized, picked up my ice cream and came back to bed :)

  5. This one is again related to my mom. Around 10 years back or something.. Morning around 6 am my mom woke up to prepare breakfast for my dad as he has to leave for work at 7. My mom had finished preparing tea and came to the hall she saw my grand father (father's father) sitting on a chair in the hall. My mom got scared and told my grand pa that you should not come like this and scare us and she went to bedroom to wake up dad. She told my dad of what happened. They both came to hall to see. But by then my grandfather was gone. My dad made fun of my mom saying she must be hallucinating because my grandfather was in coimbatore and not in bangalore. Then later that day we got a telegram from my native saying that this morning my grandfather expired. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2

This phenomenon is pretty common.. my father's maternal uncle (Mama) was very fond of him. When my dad was around 17, his uncle fell seriously ill, and there was no hope to save him. When his condition deteriorated, my grandma and grandpa visited him in his village. There he asked about my dad and my grandma told him that he couldnt come because of his exams.

The same evening, my dad saw his uncle in the courtyard of our ancestral home. He was staring at my dad, as if he was angry. Dad was on the roof and when he came downstairs to check, no one was there. Dad caught high fever that night and had to sit out of his exams.

2 days later, my grandpa came back and told that my dad's uncle died the same evening he saw him.

My dad's uncle later haunted our family. Will post that story later.

  6. Avi is straight up badass chick magnet. There is a legend on the internet that Axe deo adverts are nothing but spy cameras documenting a regular day in his life.

Then avi is not getting any poster from me unless he parts some chik atttacting techniques with me...

    ... ohh wait.. i m married!!

  7. Praveer is our petulant romeo. Like avishkar he our nri (even if as a student) reference point, but unlike avishkar who is all about pussy and tap able a*s, praveer is into weird fetishes like emotions and feelings and sh*t.

ohh.. I didnt know about that.. good to know now :)

  8. ^ Oi Nemo, no hard feelings here too bro. You are free to have your doubts and I am not even going to contest those.

Also, to help you in your research, tell your father about my dad. His name was Narendra Kumar Sharma (Pandit Ji).. and if you have any relatives/friends in Khurja who were there in the 90's can tell you how good a lawyer my dad was :)

Khurja was a weird place. 3 of my dad's fast friends got murdered and their killers are still free. Everybody knew who got them killed but there were no investigations. Besides, my dad also helped in creating false alibis for my uncle.

I also have some stories from that town related to this thread.. will post them soonish :)

  9. haha now you are trolling bro. Killing a cop is no joke, and to 3 at that without being imprisoned if not hanged, That sh*t rolls only in movies.

You mentioned ganga, meaning you are form uk, up or bengal and somehow i think uttrakhand can be ruled out. Give me a name, i have more than enough means to check homicides as verified by respective state's police in up and bengal, specially if (as u say) they were of cops.

Killing of three or more on seperate occasions straight up comes in serial killer category and i doubt it would be not reported and investigated upon.

Even if we assume the filmi scenario that bigwigs manage to keep them unscathated even after murdering a policeman (note: murder by a distinguishable individaul, not by a mob or ordered by the said influential person,.with actual hit carried by a random thug) you mentioned that chacha ji was job hopping and opening aryuvedic stores, ie something that a politically potent person wont do, so he doesnt have that cover.

  10. Alright, lets bring the thread back to its real purpose.

    This happened in my family.
My youngest uncle (Chacha) was a hardcore criminal. He had several cases of murder and attempt to murder on him.
Though he wasnt a robber or a dacoit. He was just a guy with severe anger issues.

He was the weirdest one in our family (can dedicate a whole new thread to his exploits), and out of all the four brothers, he was the one who never got married.

He didnt stick with any job my father or uncles tried to get him. Instead, he would do something freaky (like beating the sh*t out of the owner or something like that) and would come back home, smoking ganja. The guy was a hardcore drunk too.. I mean high/drunk after 5PM everyday.

In his late thirties, he started collecting and reading those Ayurvedic books and started practising as a Vaidya.
Opened many shops/clinics across the town but had to leave because of his bad temper.

And when my family moved to Delhi, he was the only one left in our big ancestral home. He fought with my dad and uncles all his life to get his share of property, and in the end when he had the whole house to himself, he said he didnt like it there.

So he used to stay at his new clinic all the time and stay drunk/high.
Now, one day (2010), we received a phone call that he was found dead in his new clinic.

My brother left for our hometown and carried his body to our ancestral home in his car.
My dad was already gone and so my uncle reached our hometown by the afternoon.

A few of the relatives gathered and they took him to Naraura (a small town by the Ganga river) and performed his last rites.
Nothing happened, and life came back to normal until one day last year when one of my cousins who is just 9 years old had a strange dream.

She said that she saw our Uncle in the dream and he was telling her that our neighbours (who had an ongoing feud with him for years) had poisoned him.

Now this kid had never visited his last shop and didnt know the names of those neighbours, yet she told us how the neighbours carried out the killing. Also, she described all the details of the shop and how his body was found by my brother. She said that our Uncle told her all this in the dream.

We still havent figured out what this meant !!!
    He died aged 45-50.

  11. People have balls to do stuffs.. I would never do even if my brain tells its all bs.. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2

Clearly understandable if you are alone. But why cant we do this in a group of 3-4 or more ???

I propose a game with people interested in it... anybody ???
