  1. Hotel budget is around 5-7k per night.

And yeah, eating out is certain. Evenings I want to spendbat resort, buzzed :P

cool i think club mahi. is 8 8.5k but if u book from expedia make my trip etc u shud get some discount

if plan to gt buzzed nd are choosy bout wat u drink it could be a prob since nearby you'll get the usuals (kingf smirnoff even absolut if you're lucky)

for the good stuff like jd or jagermeister i suggest u buy before hand from places like bagga calangute or panji

also i suggest u book asap since you're goin during their peak season

  2. I previously visited Goa in 2003 & stayed at Bogmallo beach resort. Liked the resort as it was beachside, though its location in terms of nearby activities was not good.

Planning a trip to Goa in October-November timeframe. Need suggestions on the itinerary and planning.

Duration : 4 days (Thu - Sunday) including travel. Can add one day if needed.

    From : Bangalore

    Via : Flight

Pax : 2 adults, one child

Which area/hotel/resort is good? Beach view balcony would be a huge plus.

For sightseeing I prefer guided tour (driver + dedicated vehicle, not group tour). How to go about renting a car+driver for sightseeing?

Estimated cost of above (per day)?

Basically looking for a laid back leisurely trip (not a bachelor style "let's go wild" one). There should be good restaurants nearby the hotel/resort for dining. Else hotel/resort should be good enough to spend evenings at.

lot of accomodation options it all depends on the budget

if u want a peaceful stay i'd suggest place near varca/colva lotta resorts there and most have a private beach

however it's kinda far frm the main city(takes bout an hour by car)

i've stayed at club mahindra the one with an adjoining beach is much much better thn the other and thr are lotta activities within the resort to keep u busy

most resorts provide drivers and cars but they r kinda expensive .... almost always there are car rentals and restaurants available right next to em ... the further away u move frm the resort lower the rates

if you don have a week stomach try visitin local restaurants rather than eatin at your hotel(try brittos near bagga)

nt sure wer u cn gt a guided tour but i don think you'll need one roads aren all tht confusing you cn easily drive around

also beware the rates fr everythin frm food to water sports is high during nov dec jan, they'll tell u crazy prices like 1k fr paragliding so bargain a lot without fail last yr we went in a group and gt 3 4 things(like water biking paragliding n all tht) fr jus about 450 per head

source: go to goa atleast once a yr although generally it's bachelor style "let's go wild" ones

    cheers
