Did autoplay really bother people that much? I barely noticed it.
Just one of those things people like to overcomplain about.

Ate goat heart today.
Tastes just like goat kidneys which are not abundant, so might add heart as well from now along with kidneys (gurda). (Google says twice a month for these organs is more than enough)
Don't like liver, while testicles are extremely limited and seem in demand. (only eaten a couple of times)
I gotta say, you bring a unique flavor in every thread you frequent. Glad to have you in the forum.

TLDR : Whatever sony's doing is basically right and good and everything's gravy

You are doing pretty well. Just add a little more spice to really hook the fishes in.
"Ponies" has been known to work well in the past, unless you find something even better.
May the force be with you.

Reviews are polarizing indeed. However, "technically brilliant, but lacking in emotional pull" seems to be a recurring theme.

1917 was good, but not quite as good as I was expecting it to be.
There's no denying that the movie is indeed a technical feat but I was kinda left questioning the merits of making an entire movie like this employ the "one-shot" technique.
It's supposed to make the movie more immersive, but it had the opposite effect on me. I was always aware of what the camera was doing. More so because all the edits were overly obvious which pulled me out of the movie.
Even the set-pieces aren't nearly as tense as the one-shot sequences in something like Children of Men.
I feel the movie would've been better off if they had just used the one-shot for select sequences instead of for the whole thing. It didn't really add much IMO and ultimately felt like a gimmick, which probably even crippled the movie to an extent.
On the positive side though, both the lead actors are fantastic, the music is great and the movie looks really good (for the most part).

The cinematography, the sweeping one-take landscape shots, the music, the incredibly tense moments as the camera pans around with main characters instead of jumping from cut to cut, its brilliant. People say one-shot take is a gimmick (like in God of War or Half Life), but nothing shows the epic journey of the character from start to end and the impact it has on them like a camera view that stays with them for that entire journey. Deakins absolutely has his second Oscar in the pocket.

Looks like the Galaxy S9 is gonna end up at 23k ish this sale. Is it a viable phone even if its 2 years old now? I was looking at the Oneplus 7T as well but that is almost 12k more.
Only two things that are important are Camera and display.
1 hour ago, AtheK said:Except that it is ageing, it's got a very good Camera and screen, so both your requirements are fulfilled.
Doesn't S9 have horrible battery backup?

Lost is the only TV show where I remembered every character's full name by the end of first season. The character arcs and personal stories in that show are still untouched. Just ignore the silly overarching plot.

Characters and all their stories are unmatched. Finale doesn't change nor ruin LOST journey.
Agree 100%. LOST is amazing.

Looks beautiful, which movement is inside it? NH35A?
Also how much did it cost?
Sent from my ONEPLUS A6000 using Tapatalk
Movement is 7S26, the standard in the Seiko 5 cheap end. Cost was 69 USD.
Wanted a sub-40 mm watch, preferably with numbers on the dial. This one grabbed my attention the most, particularly because of the the full size day window.

Well, I may have spoken too soon. The last status update I got for this was 13th Dec, which said dispatched from Chennai towards Bangalore.
Been 10 days since then, with zero updates. I was not expecting to have it in my hands by now, but I certainly hoped that it would reach BLR customs at least.
I got too hasty. Received it today.
And..... No customs duty @Aftrunner
Registered airmail paid off ?
I finally have a Seiko ♥️

Really poorly so far, I have already replied to their show cause notice in an email and have sent them all the documents that they had asked for. It's been more than a week since then and yet no reply from them or any movement on my package.
I have also sent them a speed post today of the same reply that I emailed them with the same docs. I am just praying they read that and release my watch but honestly I am starting to loose hope now
Don't lose hope yet. Maybe they are just slow in responding, which would be expected from them.

How are you faring with your customs trouble?

The Seiko has been dispatched from Chennai post office to Bangalore, as per the tracker. So, hopefully, at the home stretch now.

Any other ACT users here? Can you check if your detailed usage in the ACT app or website looks okay to you? I think ACT is billing way too much data out my FUP.
The preview on the app is fine but the detailed usage shows almost 5x data usage. Even on their website, for the same session they have deducted data way too many times.
Here is the screenshot: https://ibb.co/HzvTk8d
Can anyone please confirm?
That looks like glitch to me. Raise it to their CC.

As a fellow girly wrist sufferer, my sympathies.

Rather slim pickings in the sub 40mm range. Compared to 40-44 at least.

Congratulations my friend! It looks very easy on the eyes and that dial is particularly calming. Wear it in good health and enjoy it.

Hope your Seiko arrives soon!Thank you

I kinda gave up on the BM8180 hopes, and settled for this.. since I have wanted an Eco-Drive ever since I've been reading about them.

Thank you for all your tremendous contributions in this thread. Hope to see more in the coming days.
